Hi - I’m welcoming some help on planning for our single DHS day. Originally we had thought we would have extended evening hours but that is not to be, so I’m hopeful that we can accomplish the park in one day. We will be staying at the Boardwalk so plan to be in the security line by 8am. I have DS8 who wants to ride everything and DS5 who will not ride coasters.
I will be purchasing Multi-pass and Single-Pass for Rise and this will be Day 3 of our trip. I don’t expect to get Slinky for the morning nor would I really like to rope drop Slinky. Questions:
Should I rope drop TSMM so that we can do it 2 time and then save the multi-pass for it for later? Can I instead pick up an evening MMRR at a drop or as a 3rd or 4th pass?
Does it feel counter-intuitive to come back to Toy Story land in the early evening or does that make sense?
If I save ToT and RRC until evening before Fantasmic, what do I do with DS5? Originally I was going to take him to see Lightning McQueen but we all know how that went. I sort of want to rider swap ToT but I’ll probably be fine if I miss it.
I’m working through a similar plan for HS for our fall trip and can’t decide how to best approach it. My trip is after yours so your family can be my guinea pigs
I don’t think you will be able to get TSM LL on Day 3 for 9:00 am. I think 10:30 am-Noon is more realistic. But maybe my analysis of LL availability for TSM is wrong?
My current plan (subject to many changes of course) is that we will get LLMP for SDD, ToT and TSM (hoping morning options for TSM and ToT so we can book more LL) and LLSP for Rise (mid-afternoon time).
We will arrive at HS around 10:00 am and plan to stay until closing.
I’m hoping to get RnRC LL after we tap into TSM and MMRR after we tap into ToT.
When we have the opportunity after obtaining LLs for the rides mentioned above, we will grab LLs for ST and A2S. We will likely skip MFSR because I don’t want to wait standby for it and I don’t expect to get that LL same-day after RnRC and MMRR.
We will fill down time between rides with character meet and greets.
If you assume the drops will happen, there are better and more efficient ways to do HS, but my kids love SDD and TSM so much (and DD loves ToT) that I don’t want to risk missing out on them by relying on drops.
Thanks. I think you are probably right. I am thinking maybe we do afternoon for both and it can be my carrot to get them out of the pool!
Then maybe in the morning we can just rope drop TSMM and try to get two rides in first thing. I’ll have to see if I can get MFSR as early as possible and we can just churn that one.
As I’m writing this I guess I could try and get TSM at like 2pm and let it expire to get ToT for the evening. This feels like chemistry class studying the charts of what might run out when…
Ok, I rearranged the morning to rope drop TSMM. I assume we can get two rides in here if everything opens on time. If I get an ASS for 9am I can use that to get another Tier 1. Looking at the data I think we can then do MFSR with a relatively short wait.
I like the new plan for your pre-books and the morning. Do you think you can get ToT same day around 2:30 pm? I plan to pre-book ToT so haven’t looked into it. You may need to rely on a TotT drop.
Also, are there drops for RnRC? I don’t think there are.
Geez, right again. I am glad that I asked. I have purposely avoided some of the early Multipass talk because I have assumed that it will change!
So I will lead into the afternoon with TSMM, SDD and MMRR. Once TSMM expires I will book something for the evening and I guess I’ll just have to see what is there. I would rather do ToT than RRC so that might influence it.
Also - I just thought of this, but if DS5 won’t ride I could probably book 2 and 2 with ToT and RRC at 1:30. We won’t be able to rider swap but if DH doesn’t want to do ToT then we’ll be fine.
