This is such a good tip. ![]()
I’ve never heard it before. Just by luck rather than design we’ve always went to Ripsaw first.
@QwertySC Another tip I picked up from @darkmite2 is to add in a 15-20 minute break to your touring plan after every couple of rides. I would try to pick a food service place close to the ride we were leaving or the one we were going to. I would also choose the slowest walking speed. That should give you a fairly good idea of how long it will take you to do what’s on your list. I think Ryan has some great ideas for your days!
@ryan1 - this is tremendous. Thank you. I will spend my afternoon putting these into TP for assessment and maybe organizing.
The only thing that won’t fit is that VB closes at 6/7PM during our trip. So I can’t go 5-9PM on Tuesday. But maybe we could go 4-6 or on Thursday.? I hate to wait all the way to Friday to make it my full day bc we really love water parks. But I can see why you recommend it that way.
Technically, Saturday the 21st is an option if it’s better to skip one of the weekdays. I was just planning on enjoying the community or possibly use old WDW BB/TL passes we have on that day.
I do think we will try to do Fast and Furious bc all the YouTubers say “it’s terrible, but you have to” sort of thing.
Great. Thank you. I will use this too!
Doh! I was glancing at the wrong park hours, thinking I was looking at Volcano Bay. So, yeah. That won’t work! ![]()
I skipped it until our most recent trip. And…I felt it was a complete waste of time. Only ONE part of the entire ride sequence was actually fun. The rest of it…was stupid at best. (I mean…why do we have to spend 3 minutes in a room watching people party???)
So, I wouldn’t bother ever doing it again unless it was just about a walk-on.
Is there a way to check on evening entertainment times? ETA - I guess the app is best.
Also, @ryan1 @bebe80 @darkmite2 or any other recent-er visitors -
would it be a bad idea to, say, take Friday off as it has short hours at all the parks and instead start Saturday that day at VB and then hop to one of the other parks and use that as our “favorite day.”
So - Monday - Ryan’s Monday
Tuesday - Ryan’s Tuesday (-) VB
Wednesday - Ryan’s Wednesday
Thursday - All day VB
Friday off
Saturday Start VB and then hop back for favorites? Or is a Saturday likely to be painfully busy?
You mention re-riding Hogsmeade, but they weren’t suggested originally? I’m going to add that in after lunch and see what it says. ![]()
Oh…yeah. I don’t know why I said that! This isn’t the day for WWoHP! So, instead, read that as possibly stopping in to ride things in Hogsmeade if you have time. But I would probably just skip it unless there is an amazing low wait.
Ok!
Using your plan @ryan1 and picking food choices nearish where we will be (and using data from allergen guide) I have something.
What I like about this in particular is at the end of the day, DH and I can take the two youngest and any other interested to Seuss and the rest can poke around HP stuff as DS21’s GF loves HP.
IOA 5/16 (touringplans.com)
I feel so accomplished!
I really loved the Seuss High in the Sky Trolley. It can be a long line, though. But fun and a cute view of the park.
I agree. The line, though, can be a killer!
You posted the wrong link!
Yes this makes total sense, since you can’t just take a break at a nearby hotel. If anyone needs a break, just relax on a lounge chair for a while.
A must do!
Don’t forget, the Taco Truck is there!
Also, don’t forget these other better than average QS restaurant/snack places:
USF:
Central Park Crepes
Today Café
IOA:
Croissant Moon Bakery
Thunder Falls Terrace
If for some reason you guys feel like another TS restaurant, try Finnigan’s in USF!
For your Resorts days:
Mentioning the Vibe Tour, which you considered earlier.
Take the water taxi to Portofino, explore and/or pool hop.
I think you have Drive-in Mini golf too on your schedule?
Bowling Saturday night right?
I’m getting excited for you!
It’s terrible and you really shouldn’t.
I did not forget said Taco Truck.
Have this on day one. It looked just different enough to make sure we aren’t always eating chicken nuggets and burgers.
The Vibe Tour didn’t seem to pique anyone’s interest.
I wasn’t going to schedule the mini-golf, but leave it on the table for if we are getting parked out. As a rule, my DH and kids LOVE mini-golf, so it will remain to be seen if they hit their limit on rides/shows and want to scoot over there.
Yes - I really hope we can bowl on Saturday night. I am not 100% sure how to make that work as I believe I can’t make bowling reservations until 6PM and I have Toothsomes at 6:15PM. But I am hoping to bowl around 10PM… so maybe it won’t be a problem. I can send my family off to to Toothsomes at a leisurely pace and I can wait for the reservation and then book-it to the restaurant.
Thank you. I am now excited to. Actually imagining park navigation has encouraged me a lot.
Now to look to day 2 before taking girls to AWANA/Youth Group!
You missed Kong! Also, wouldn’t bother with Pteradon Flyers. Slowest line ever, and only a single young child can ride with a parent.
Oh, you didn’t miss it. Sorry. It was just not where I was expecting to see it! Carry on.
Whew. I just went looking.
I moved it later to see if it would give a shorter wait and it did so I left it.
DD9 has seen the Pterydon thing on YouTube and wants it. If the wait early is that long we won’t bother.
