Quick service child vs adult credits

When we visited Disney in 2011 we had the Quick Service dining plan and the child and adult credits were not separated. Meaning that we had X amount of meal credits all lumped together and could order for the adult or child’s menu. Does anyone know if this is still the same? The kids meals become repetitive after a few days and it was nice to order a couple of adult meals for my kids last time just for the variety. We just booked free dining for Sept this year and are hoping to be able to do this again with our meal credits.

Yes. Counter service is still “lumped” together and not differentiated.

Is this still the case in 2022?

No dining plan currently.

Yes you are right. Do you think it will be the case when it returns?

No clue whatsoever. Disney does what Disney wants.

IF it returns. It might not, although Disney profits from the meal plans because on average guests are paying more using the meal plan than without it. (We found that if we got the meal plan when it was a thing, we would always end up paying more than just ordering a la carte).

Disney have said Dining Plans will return. Not a guarantee of course but I think they will. Probably in 2023.
