Question on DDP + Fantasmic Dining Combo

We have the DDP and are planning on eating at 50’s Prime Time Cafe. Now that I’ve learned you can do the Fantasmic package and it’s still only one credit, I’m considering that option.

Reading the info on the website, here’s what I’ve seen:

  • DDP normally allows you one appetizer, one entrée, one dessert, and one beverage
  • Fantasmic package page says it includes one entrée, one dessert, one beverage, and the Fantasmic reserved seating.

So if you use DDP for the Fantasmic, are you trading the appetizer for the Fantasmic seating? Or do DDP folks still get the appetizer?

I thought they changed the DP to one appetizer OR one dessert. The WDW site says, “Meals redeemed at brunch, lunch or dinner will include:

  • 1 Entrée

  • 1 Dessert

  • 1 Nonalcoholic Beverage (or Alcoholic Beverage, for Guests 21 and older)”

No more appetizers at all on the dining plan.

Sad, especially if one can’t eat dessert (like me). But the new iteration of the dining plan isn’t really worth it to me, anyway.

ok, cool. So it sounds like you don’t lose anything when reserving the Fantasmic dining.
