I’ve never been to DL (many many trips to WDW), but planning a July ‘25 trip to Disney in Anaheim. Why are crowds lower on Friday,Sat, and Sunday than on weekdays? (Or at least predicted to be so on the calendar). I’m just wondering what I’m missing here?

it’s because APs are blocked out on weekends in July. Far fewer locals in the parks those days

Pricing dated tickets, especially 1 day, that include or are on weekends in peak vacation time have gotten so high too. They also run full operations higher priced days. All the shows/smaller entertainment, max characters around, max ride capacity with all/most walkthrough attractions available, all of that helps distribute a lot of the crowds to bring down the calculated CL.
So it really makes those weekends nice with so much to do & while there may be a good amount of people still, you won’t wait in crushing lines for most things.
