Princess Half Marathon Weekend

Taking my bestie and her husband to WDW for Princess Weekend in February and am so excited!! She and her DH (both 40) have never been to Disney ever. My DH is coming too so it’ll be a fun couples weekend!

Here’s my current plan:

  • Staying at BWV w/ BW views! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
  • Wednesday - Arrival + Dinner @ Crew’s Cup Lounge or Ale & Compass Lounge. Maybe check out Hurly Burly after.
  • Thursday - Early breakfast @ Topolino’s + Expo + Quick Service Lunch @ one of the MK resorts (Steakhouse 71 or Gasparilla or Wailulu) + MK. Early dinner @ Geyser Point.
  • Friday - 5k! Our husbands aren’t running. Just us ladies. Then Epcot. Les Halles for breakfast. Regal Eagle or festival booth snacking for lunch. Early dinner @ Trattoria.
  • Saturday - 10k. No park day. Brunch @ Homecomin’. Pool. Naps. Maybe Skyliner over to Riviera for dinner @ Bar Riva
  • Sunday - Half Marathon. Boma Brunch. Animal Kingdom. Nomad.
  • Monday - Brunch @ Cake Bake and then :airplane:

Thoughts? Critiques? This will be our first trip to Disney with friends and no kids. I’m pretty pumped

Sounds awesome to me! I have run 3 Disney races with my best friend and it’s so fun to run with someone - we coordinate outfits and make up games to play while we run (like name a Disney character for each letter of alphabet, killed a lot of the 10k haha) We leave our kids home with the dads! We enjoy the adult time, like leisurely strolling, going to a lounge (we went to Geo82 and Beak and Barrell, which I know kids can go to, but it was nice just the two of us) and we enjoyed Grand Floridian Cafe for brunch (another time we did Whispering Canyon Cafe) but looks like you have good brunch ideas already!

Sounds so lovely! I’m so excited!! We’ve ran one 10k together and she completed her first Half Marathon last fall just before she turned 40. I’m excited for her to experience RunDisney! This will be my 6th year in a row doing a RunDisney race and every time they are more magical.

This is a great place for adults to go! You can book a late table and enjoy a couple of cocktails and the fireworks…it is a bit pricey, but the views are lovely. Then a leisurely stroll back to the resort.

ETA - I now see you’re doing the Half, 10K and the 5K…so probably no closing out the park at Geo 82 this trip.

Sadly, you are correct. Geo-82 is on my list for sure. The views look :ok_hand:t3:
