Price Tracking

Does anyone know a site that tracks Disneyland ticket pricing? I’m trying to plan a trip for summer next year. The pricing isn’t out yet. But, I’m hoping I can get some information if I can see what the tiers were last year.

I don’t know about past tracking but only the 1-day tickets are date based & on variable tiers, so if you’re going to be purchasing 2-day or more tickets it will be one price regardless of dates (of course unless they decide to change that up, but I think the price increases have already come out so it’s highly unlikely they will change it by next summer).

Yes, I’m trying to figure out which days the two day ticket is worth it versus 2 one day tickets. It seems strange to me that there are days when two one day tickets are less than a 2 day ticket. I say summer, but we are also considering spring.

Ok, I just did the math on the new ticket prices (that I got from the charts near the bottom of the article here

For 1 park per day tickets, at the simplest assumption (that your 2 days are both the same tier) Tier 3 tickets are the leveling point - if you bought 2 separate 3-day tickets you would spend $3 more than purchasing the 2 day tickets for those same 2 days.

If any of your days is a Tier 2 or lower, that’s where you start saving. How much you save depends on what combination of tiers. For example, you can still save a smidge ($2/person) if your tickets are a Tier 2 + Tier 4. But if both days are Tier 2 days you save $37/person.

For Park Hoppers, that shifts to only two Tier 1 (or 0) days being a savings (of $37/person). And when I tested out if any combos of 1 day of T1 with higher tiers was a savings, only a T1 + T2 combo was a savings (of $17/person).

So the savings aren’t huge, but are probably larger if you are going only on Tier 0 or 1 days. I did stumble upon this calendar that shows color coded tiered dates that upon a quick cursory check of a couple of weeks, match up to the pricing on the DLR website. And this calendar actually goes further than the available tickets to purchase on DL’s site go, so you get a bit closer to summer.

Based on the above savings, you’ll want to check for green, light blue and blue (T0-T2) dates for savings of breaking up the tickets into 2 1-day tickets. And you could also look for Navy blue (T3) if you’re not planning on getting park hoppers.

Thank you! yes, this is what I’m trying to figure out for our days. Better to buy 2- 1 day or 1 -2 day. ticket. I did find a few YT videos that had April, June and July from last year. That gives me an idea of what tiers might be hopefully. Still digging up May. Trying to decide on buying 2 day tickets now while we can still get last years prices.

I ended up buying the TP subscription for DLR and it has the previous Prices. 2 day is certainly a deal if I go on the predicted low crowd days. Sat, Sun. But a Tues, Wed would not. I thought the prices were supposed to reflect the crowds. But in this case the higher prices mean lower crowds. Ugh

So historically when everything was the same price, the “low” crowd days were more conventional, like midweek. Disney has very strategically priced things (and shifted operations) to shift traditional crowd patterns and even or level out crowds to a better (for them operationally) distribution.

And now that prices have been climbing, you get a lot more people willing to look for times in their schedules when they are flexible to go on a cheaper date vs. going on a weekend that they didn’t have other things going on.

I recommend checking out Getaway today as their prices have not yet caught up.

Thanks. Decided to wait to see if there is a ticket deal this spring.
