Premier Pass question

Hello! Apologies in advance if this is a silly question, but I haven’t been to Disney World since earlier in 2024 so haven’t done the pre booking of LLMP rides before. We are going next weekend so I can book rides starting tomorrow morning. We already decided we are doing Epcot and Hollywood Studios Saturday. Right now plan is Epcot in the morning with premier pass and then HS afternoon with LLMP. We want to maximize our time with holiday weekend crowds.

My question is can I book additional rides at Hollywood Studios while we are at Epcot? Or because we will have premier pass at Epcot will we only have the 3 LLMP rides at HS until we tap in and use one? I didn’t know if I could modify and book later times and add rides?

I’m thinking we may need to swap and use Epcot LLMP in the morning and save Premier Pass for Hollywood Studios in the afternoon?

Sorry if I am confusing, I’m getting myself confused too!

@Jeff_AZ put this topic together so I will defer the final answer to him. My take away is that the two would act totally independently. Therefore in the situation as you outlined, you would only be able to carry 3 LLMP for EPCOT until you consume one of them.

The two are independent. Using an LLPP does not unlock tier restrictions for LLMP.

I think you’re right the best option is probably to get LLPP for HS since that is the best bang for your buck, and get LLMP for your first park (EP).

Another option is to get both LLMP and LLPP for EP and then after you use one LLMP, you can modify your other two prebooks to HS and book a third there as well while you use LLPP for everything else plus a re-ride on the attraction you used LLMP for. Then hop to HS.

Thank you so much for your help and insight! Greatly appreciate all of your knowledge

I do agree with Jeff that I think PP would be better spent at HS. What made you choose Epcot? Is it cheaper?

Significantly cheaper

Something like

$199 for AK

$249 for EPC

$349 for DHS

$399+ for MK

That’s also because it’s way more useful at MK and DHS. For MK there are just a lot of available attractions and at DHS because there aren’t enough attractions but what there is has the Tier 1/2 issues and are all bangers as Molly would say it’s useful. It’s not really so useful at EPC and AK (particularly AK since they don’t have tiers)

Ya I think that I was more asking if that was the reason she wanted to buy it at Epcot vs. Hollywood Studios, because it was cheaper or because of a different reason?

I wasn’t thinking about how tricky it could be to get LLMP for the rides we would want at Hollywood Studios in the afternoon/evening. We ended up buying the LLPP for Hollywood Studios per Jeff’s suggestion. I think it was the right call for sure and appreciate everyone’s help!

Sorry! My initial reasoning was cost, Epcot was cheaper, but we are traveling with friends who are very excited about Star Wars at night  so didn’t want to swap HS for the morning

Having booked my LL this morning, EPCOT is pretty brutal these days for availability, so as a group, I am not sure our automatic advice should be get HS. Both parks are pretty tough!

Star Wars at night is a great reason to do things the way you did. And with PP and MP you might be able to ride things like MFSR twice!

We did get LLMP for Epcot and are hoping we might get some double rides at HS! I love all of the great ideas everyone shares here

Hope you have a great time! Out of curiosity, did you get LLSP for GotG?

Yes we did, I’m hoping my kids will go on it!

This is what I would do given your EP am and HS pm plans. Can you RD EP entry entry? That way you could RD one of the tough 3 Tier 1s (TT, FEA and Remy) that you haven’t pre-booked an LL for. And if the third tough EP LL isn’t available when you tap into your first EP LL, then start booking LLs for HS. Sounds like a blast to have LLMP and LLPP at HS in the afternoon!

EP is brutal for the 3 Tier 1 rides, but given that the poster didn’t plan on starting to tap into HS LLs until the afternoon, many HS LLs would be tough by that time of the day.

I was booking this morning and couldn’t book TT or Soarin before 12:30. 10 mins later those had both moved to later in the day! I am hoping to move TT up at a drop because I am only there half a day. Soarin is now a hot ticket like TSMM.

I think HS and EP are difficult all around. Both are definitely easier the later in the trip they are.

Yeah, that’s tough. Is that Day 7+0 or 7+1? Or later? I will be booking EP for a 7+3 and am hoping to get Soarin’ no later than 11:00 and TT no later than 11:45, but maybe I need to be more flexible with our schedule.

We were able to snag Nemo at 9:15 AM, Soarin’ at 9:55 AM, Guardians at 10:40 AM, and Remy at 11:30 AM for next Saturday 10/11. I hoping we can do the front part of Epcot and then head to the World Showcase. My hope is to grab Frozen after scanning into Nemo? And grabbing Test Track at a drop. I hope it works out! But not having to worry about Hollywood Studios makes me feel better as my kids love those rides (and so do I  )

I hope you are able to get some improved times!

It was Day 7+1 so I think you will be fine with day 7+3. Those were in the 11 range when I checked at what would have been 7+2. I was glad I had quick fingers because the times jumped by 2 hours almost immediately at 7.

@KellyM527 that Soarin time is great. If my DD had accepted Remy we would have been fine. Your plan sounds solid! My day is just a weird one so doesn’t fit anyone’s usual plan. We are RD GOTG, then going to the Parisian brunch and then riding a few rides before taking a break. I’m counting on the 8:47 drop for TT and refresh for Soarin to move everything up!
