Portofino Bay Club

Hi All!
It’ll be my family’s first visit to Universal the last week of February.
Does anyone know where the Club rooms are located? I’ve read very mixed reviews. I am hoping to find a location close to the boat but with a look of the harbor (I am guessing that is a popular spot lol).
Also - when do they release their club menus? I read a post where someone said they got theirs emailed to them (might have been years ago)…
Thanks for the input!

Hi, welcome to the forum! I posted the club level menus at the end of September:

Thank you so much! Do you think these would still be active in February? (or until the hotel decides to update?)

If I remember correctly, they emailed them to me about a week before I checked in. Please let me know if they change them!

I looked back at emails and they also sent me the menu a week before the trip. They are labeled spring menus but they look similar to ones already posted.

When I stayed club before it was in the villa section of the hotel and overlooked the pool. I’ll be staying club again in a few weeks so I’ll let you know if it’s different this time around

Same. My last two stays have been in the villa section overlooking the quiet pool.

Is club level worth it here? I’m thinking about it for my kiddos 10th birthday trip that we’re planning for the beginning of April. We’ve never stayed club level at Disney but the price difference isn’t nearly as nuts here which is making me consider it very strongly (planning on a night at Terra Luna at the front of the trip and then three nights here for express pass)

My room was also in the villa section. It was a walk to the club lounge, but close to a stairway that led down to the boat.

Will your schedule allow you to take advantage of the breakfast/dinner offerings? For me, the AP rate was less than $100 more than my room booking (3 adults). I cancelled dining reservations and we ate two meals a day in the lounge. It actually saved me money. If you will be going to the parks very early and staying through the dinner hour, I don’t know if it would be “worth it”.

I do it if the AP rate is worth it. My rezzy coming up was only $40 extra per night so $20 a day for us. I should mention it was an absolute steal for only $360 a night :scream: Their breakfast is good and will save you time vs waiting in the Starbucks line in the am. Lunch really is snacks so not worth it. Dinner is also good and they serve wine and beer. I usually plan on being at dinner at 5, have a glass of wine and a light dinner, then pop back to IOA for a closing hagrids ride (early closing times in the winter). I also cancel dinner reservations with a club room and def save money.

Oh, plus it’s open all day so you can grab snacks/waters whenever. You can totally stock up before heading to the parks. That alone will save you money with a 10yo!

Worth it probably depends on how good of a rate you can get. I really like the breakfast there. Lots of options. Being able to grab snacks and drinks to go is great. We never ate dinner there but we did go for the cocktail hour and had drinks and made our own charcuterie.

Plus the staff was able to help us get better dining times than I was able to and able to add people to reservations.

Also you have access to the spa for their hot tub, steam room and sauna. It’s lovely and really relaxing.

Yeah the AP rate I’m looking at for our dates is $75/ night more. So I was thinking that if we could get some breakfast stuff plus snacks later that would make it feel a little more special for the kids birthday. We’re likely to have four days at the parks and while it’s our first time in universal since we’ll have express pass three of those days I’m not as worried about rope drop to close type days
