I think they might have improved lately since Disney clamped down on things like the chanting, etc. - but sadly, having dealt with the earlier groups really gave Brazil a bad name with their incessant chanting, dumping their bags in a pile at ride entrances and running through the queues, cutting directly in front of people - and even in between groups and other bad behavior.

Epcot shouldn’t have IP. But EPCOT lost its way years ago. It should have remained a permanent world’s fair concept, which is what it was originally. It was also in many ways about reality, not the imaginary (except, well…Figment…but even then, Figment was really about imagining what we could accomplish moreso than fictional stories).
Over time, though, EPCOT started to veer further away from.that…and then IP started to show up. Today, EPCOT really is still directionless. The reimagining of FutureWorld has only made it worse, not better. When first announced, I thought it meant it would find a new path. Instead it is more random than ever. At least World Showcase still is somewhat true to the original vision…just wish they kept the IP out of there and focused on the ACTUAL culture of those countries. (Sorry Remy, but I don’t think a cooking rat effectively tells us much about France.)

Mimes, while having predated France, are a great tradition made quite popular in France. So yes, it is heavily tied to French culture.

A guy I worked for went to St Petersburg and was blown away. Completely captivated. Couldn’t stop taking about it for weeks.
Isn’t it on a river cruise itinerary?

Yes. But I choose Iran as one of my picks because it has an incredible history, wonderful culture of music and arts, wonderful people (I have many Persian/Iranian friends whose families fled the regime), despite the horror of its intolerant and destructive regime. so I chose it for the history and culture, and in honor of its normal people who suffer under oppression. I know it couldn’t be a Epcot land in this reality. But then, China is.

I thought I was being narrow-minded for equating a whole country to one event that happened in the 1940’s… but it was the freaking holocaust, not my experience with tour groups.
Those tour groups are very annoying though, I agree.

I did not intend to make you feel narrow minded. I was legitimately asking if I was missing some other atrocity other than the Holocaust, not trying to make you feel petty over focusing on that.
My apologies if that’s the way it came across. I was more focused on Adventures by Disney type excursions or other Insta-type adventures I’ve seen. My list of “forbidden” places is already too long for my liking, I didn’t want to have any more than I need to.

I said Egypt, India and Brazil (because of @Flavita 's awesome TR) some South American representation should be included. But I really wanted to say Greece and am so glad that others have. In order, Greece, India, Brazil (or other SA) and Egypt. I’ve only been to 1 of the 4…any guesses which one?
@ScottFL I think we all have missed the “safe” window for visiting Russia tbh. I would love to visit the churches they are so beautiful and I have no idea how they survived communism.
Mexico needs to retheme Grand Fiesta to Coco but still have Donald running through it. I don’t make the rules.

Jumping to the bottom. As I feel every country is unique, I picked India, Brazil and Egypt because I think the theming would be cool. But I would like to see most (not all) of the Dinoland area revamped to South America. I think it would fit in great there.
I would really like to see Australia or Egypt represented and I would like to see the Outpost expanded to represent the African countries.
