Poll Time! The Star Wars Films

And Ewan McGregor is uniquely prepared for such a project. A reprise of “Come What May” aboard a star destroyer sounds lovely.

I guess to be fair, Rogue One made it where the design flaw was intentionally designed in by a guy being forced to engineer the weapon of mass destruction against his will. At least in hindsight, that now makes sense. The 2nd Death Star wasn’t finished, making that more plausible that they could fly in and targeting from the inside it was vulnerable.

The 3rd incarnation seems far less plausible. The 4th is just kind of bizarre design unless they were just out of guys and had to have a central control, but in reality it is just a McGuffin to provide an easy death blow to eliminate all the baddies at once…

But in the end, since Palpatine was behind everything, it seems Emperor Palpatine is the guy to blame. I guess Sith Lords don’t make good engineers… :grinning:

Seems fair. Spend too much of their study time trying to pass the bar exams.

That’s who I was talking about!

Is it Galen Eyrso?

Actually I think it’s Matt

I would have preferred to see something really cool and different, like the Death Blossom from the Last Starfighter, but in the Star Wars universe.

Basically - Galen Erso - played by Mads Mikkelson (is he the only actor with a weirder real name than Star Wars name?)

Or possibly Randy the intern.

Hmmm I think we need to derail the thread a little more to induce a Bond poll

Although I’m sure @Jeff_AZ is always open to cooking up another movie poll…

I’m way too dispassionate about Bond and there are far too many films to do a whole poll on it. I don’t know - maybe I’ll feel in the mood someday.

I think the last Bond movie I saw had Roger Moore in it.

Sorry, late to the game.

My favorites are the original 3. But I also enjoy the prequels. I don’t understand the hate for these at all. DH is a huge fan and doesn’t get it either. They are just as cheesy as the original 3. And he also adds that Star Wars was written mainly for prepubescent/early teen children. My kids currently fall into that category and they love everything Star Wars, all 9 movies included.

To me the last trilogy was so so. The storylines were weird and didn’t make sense at times, especially episode 9.

You didn’t include the most recent D+ series, but I’m enjoying the Obiwan series and love the Mandelorian. Boba Fett/Mandelorian season 2 1/2 was interesting as well.

Well with 007 you can’t do anything less than a whole poll.

Meaning…?

Specifically, Leia has memories of her mother…her real mother. Luke does not. Which means Leia would have had to have spent at least SOME time with Padme before she died. But in EP 3, only one of the twins even laid eyes on her…and it was Luke!

I get it. George found it more convenient to do it this way…so he ignored…himself!

You’re not alone. There was nothing menacing about him; he was an irritating, emo, self-absorbed post-adolescent with anger management issues who should have been living in his parents basement, tweeting out sarcastic comments.

Have you watched the Obiwan series so far? There is a possibility that Leia may have a memory of her mother like Obiwan did of his family, after all she is also force sensitive.

We don’t know that Leia did not see her mother. They don’t really show every moment.
