Really? I have to honestly say, that’s the complete OPPOSITE of what I’ve ever heard. Of course, Disney fans complain about any little change, etc. But what I hear, almost exclusively, is how Disney does such an amazing job with theming compared to every other amusement park out there.

I mean HS isn’t the only theme park with anomalies - many of which have been named here. Someone even mentioned Pandora not fitting…
Disney’s theming, at its worst, is better than every other amusement park at its best (with the exception of Universal Studios).

Dude, I’m not the one unhappy with lack of cohesion!!! I just care about the rides. It doesn’t bug me at all that Launch Bay is next to Mermaid and Muppets is near IJ… I don’t care. It’s just been brought up in this thread that the parks are showing less and less thematic cohesion. What does Moana have to do with Future World? I don’t know, but bring it on.

Moana won’t be in FutureWorld. It will be in World Nature. 
Nor DID I…but I think the problem is, ultimately, we expect more from Disney…and that what we used to see has been lost.
All that “disparity” in HS made sense back in the days of MGM Studios. But as it has transformed, there is no longer a sense of it being “Hollywood Studios”. Call it “Hollywood Adventures”, and it all makes sense once again. So, yeah…poorly chosen naming.
But, whatever…truth is, despite all the complaints I have about the decisions Disney had made about various things, the one fact remains: I still want to go back over and over again, and I’m willing to shell out lots of bucks to do it. It’s like an addiction or something.

Actually, I think I’m wrong. I think Moana will fall in the World Celebration section. But either works, I guess.
I have not been to HS since August so I didn’t consider Rise. I was actually in Orlando opening weekend but I stick to Universal.
I love SDD, I think it is just plain fun. I considered RnR but then I thought of a podcast I listened to this morning that asked how “you would improve RnR”. Making it longer was an obvious answer but I would prefer my old Aerosmith playlist: Dream On, Sweet Emotion, Walk this Way, Back in the Saddle, and Same Old Song and Dance.
That leave me with ToT- one of the most perfect attractions ever created (well- there is Hagrids)…

I think most would agree that on individual elements, like a specific ride or “land”, Disney does theming incredibly well. It’s more about a lack of a park wide cohesive “theme” that has been more of a struggle. I dont know that this is surprising to me though considering how many IP are involved, the length of time the parks have been open and how much is changing/refreshing. They aim to keep park crowds balanced by the park infrastructure and logistics, and the parks somewhat balanced as a whole. So I think they sometimes sacrifice park level cohesion and theming to not put every immersive land in the same park for example. To me, that is a sacrifice I am okay with. I personally value individual ride or land theming over the entire park feeling logical or connected.

I love TSM, but in reviewing the list, there is nothing else that I can ride. One of my eye specialist told me No roller-coasters or any rides that jerk my head. Other than shows, shopping, and eating, there is not much for me in HS. I sit with the DGDs while others ride. TSM was an easy choice for me.

Hagrid’s isn’t perfect. The Hagrid animatronic isn’t lip synced to what he’s saying and the unicorns at the end are unconvincing. Other than that, it’s perfect.

So little love for Star Tours. Why? I love this ride so much! Of course I haven’t been to Galaxy’s Edge yet and therefore didn’t select either of those attractions. Perhaps I’ll change my vote after my visit.
If you like TOT you must get out to California to ride Guardians Of the Galaxy. I was skeptical because I loved TOT and am not into Guardians at all, but I actually think GotG is better.

It is only the best ride ever.
I came home from DLR 2018 with some regrets. I hadn’t helped my 12 yo meet her favorite hero Spider-Man (we met many, many other Marvel characters) and we didn’t get to Redwood Creek Challenge … but Mama got to ride GOTG five times in two days. I kinda sorta needed an intervention.

I love Star Tours, although the original was way better than the new version. Regardless, it is competing with the likes of ToT, etc. But definitely a must do.

Because the first time I rode it in 2002, I got sick. 
. Although when I rode it last year I was fine. Honestly I didn’t even remember it being the same ride. Maybe it was another Star Wars ride that isn’t there any more? Either way I will always have that memory of it.
First, we’re a small elite group (and kids aren’t voting here) and it’s a novelty. Crowds attract crowds. Because it’s so hard to get, people think it must be great.
