I think they’ve updated these rooms since I stayed there. That was when I only had two kids so quite a while ago though … I think 2015?

Yes the rooms have been updated with laminate floors instead of carpet, the beds are higher so your able to store your luggage under them, etc.

They updated them between our trips in 2016 and 2019.

The sky opened up shortly after I got in the room, so just made it. 
The room was great, but could use a fresh coat of paint, as there were scratch marks on the wall behind the table & chairs and in a couple of other places. The other thing I had to get used to was there was no bedside clock, so my phone came in very handy.
