We had 2 stays at AKL last week - one was 3 nights in a 1 bedroom at Kidani (which we won’t do again until the rooms are refurbished - we’ve stayed in a lot of rooms with pullout beds and murphy beds and these were the absolute worst. But the 2 bathrooms were amazing). The second was a resort view at Jambo. I always put in the request that we don’t have a savannah view, but would love even a glimpse of the animals. At Kidani, we were put into 7733, where you could see the savannah off to the right on the balcony. It was also above the smoking area, so that part was less than pleasant. At Jambo, we got 4366 which was a savannah view. Really fun watching the animals just outside the room.
Each time I stay at AKL, I use the same language and more often than not, have gotten some view of the animals.
I was in 5 (first floor 5152) in October and loved the location! That courtyard is really pretty, and being so close to the bridge was nice for getting over to El Centro
Great view. Not the quietest with Chef Mickey’s right there but fine after it closes at night. We prefer AKL but we wanted to experience the Contemporary this trip so glad we did it.

This was basically our exact request because I had put in the notes that any of the rooms along that stretch of rooms would be great. It was a perfect location for being central to main building and transportation. Loved Caribbean Beach and would definitely stay there again. Also this is my 5th time using TP to put in a room request. It’s the first time I have gotten exactly what I requested but the other times have had at least 1 if not more of the request met. I highly recommend doing this.
We check in 6 days from today. We’ll see how well this works.

I basically got the room I asked for, but it felt like, after actually b eing there, that I really didn’t want this room. What I didn’t realize is that there is only one set of elevators for the entire Villas side (I think the Inn side has the same issue) I think room 1112 would’ve been much better, as that would’ve been near a side entrance. The closer the room number is to x068, the closer to the elevator.
Oh, and @len there is a bug in the room finder for BWV. The even numbered rooms between x100 to x118 are all tagged backwards. The northeastern most room is x100 (1100, 2100, etc) and the southwestern most room should be x118 (1118, 2118, etc)

We stayed at Caribbean Beach in 2023 and it was lovely. Our kids loved the pool and we loved the quick service options. Everyone was so kind and friendly. Thank you for helping to make our stay magical!
Result
We were in Room 4302 and my parents had Room 4321. I liked being in the same building as the Freestyle Machine - plus we were very close to the Skyliner. The bus stop was a quick walk. It was kind of a hike to the main building, but I knew that when I requested the room.
I took zero photos of the view but it was basically a parking lot
The room was quiet except you could hear every boom of the EPCOT fireworks each night.

Result: Something in Trinidad HOWEVER I believe that is because we got there before 3pm and the computer just kicked something out because we were early. We went straight to Port Royale and asked a cast member to look into getting us a room in Building 43 and she called and worked some magic and we ended up in 4325. DONT go to a room you are unhappy with without asking first! It was the first thing they asked, if we had been in the room.
It was as we were sitting at the gate shack to be admitted on property, so i assumed it was something they push thru the system. As soon as the notification went off i knew it would be the wrong room.

Result: We snagged 3417 as requested! Love this room as it is a first floor, corner room with two windows. Our car is parked right outside the room and the West Depot (first for pick-up and drop-off) is less than a 90-second walk from our room. The only downside about this room is the distance to the lobby. The walk is a bit further than what I would like, but the proximity to the bus stop has been great!

Additional circumstances: ground floor needed b/c OKW has no elevators (except 2 buildings) and DH was still in recovery from back surgery (6 weeks prior)
Result: text message told us of our second-floor room assignment, so I called the number provided. And the CM wasn’t able to change our room but found out we were assigned a building w/ an elevator. We were SO grateful! We understand that room requests cannot always be granted, but we really needed some TLC to protect DH.
ROOM: 6227 Miller Rd area building 62. It was right across the street from the Hospitality House. It was one of the best room assignments we’ve ever had… loved walking across the street to HH.

Room received: 8409 in the Acadian Building (Magnolia Bend)
I was happy with this room, it actually had a lovely garden view with some columns framing it (I am guessing this counts as an obstructed garden view?) It was not a corner room, but on the 2nd floor (as requested), and a very short walk (less than 2 min) to both the bus stop (North Depot) and the main Ol’ Man Island pool. It was about 5 min walk to the lobby/main building.

Room Requested: 4358 but in the notes I indicated that I didn’t have a specific room request but would just like to be in building 42, 43, 44, or 45 of the Jamaica section, I also had my TA put in a request for any room in Jamaica
Notes: Our flight didn’t land until almost midnight and we didn’t arrive until about 1:15AM. Got my room ready text at 7:30PM as we were driving to the airport. I think I put in the online check in that we would arrive around 8:30PM (knowing we wouldn’t actually arrive until after 1AM) just to see if I would get the room ready text before the flight took off.
Room received: 4557, I hit the jackpot with this room. Not only did a get a room in Jamaica, I got upgraded to a water view room which was a corner room with two windows. The room was near the bridge over to the main building and really close to the quiet pool.
