I’ve been seeing this survey prompt on my dashboard since 2023. I think I briefly started the survey but I don’t want to complete it. (They’re so long!) How can I make the prompt go away?
Click the x on the right end of the red banner
My very favorite thing about this post is it’s been bothering @ParkRanger for two years and the solution is to click an X. I see you @ParkRanger.
Oh. Huh
Ask @len to see if someone can kill that process?
I’ve had one for years, too. LOL.
I was hoping I wouldn’t have to summon the top dog, but it may have come to that.
@len?
I mean it’s been over 2 years and it’s still bugging you. Can’t hurt to ask. They maybe don’t know there’s a problem with deleting something you’ve started so you might be helping!
Ok. Let me ask someone. Two years, eh?
To be fair, only 1 year, 4 months, and 18 days.
Thank you!
I bet if you hadn’t started it, it would have gone away. ![]()
Oh for sure. I’ve ignored plenty of TP surveys since then; this is the only one that won’t let me go. ![]()
I’ve thought about doing the minimum necessary on each page to proceed through the survey and submit it, but I don’t want to junk up Len’s data pool. ![]()
Maybe TP should offer a choice of doing a (much!) shorter survey. The standard one took me a LONG time to complete, the last time I did the whole thing.
That’s a good gif.
Yeah the current one is way too long.
I’ve got 2 “unfinished surveys” from my trip earlier this month. I actually did one all the way through, but I clicked on the other survey links from the red boxes, thinking that they would be different surveys, but when I saw it was just a different link to the same one, I didn’t do anything. Going to the first page of a survey and not filling in anything shouldn’t get a permanent pestering to finish the survey.
The system should make it difficult to create a new survey if you’ve got one in progress for the same place. Even if I click the button to start a new survey on WDW, if I’ve got one that’s in progress for WDW, I should get a prompt asking me “don’t you want to finish this other one?”
At some point, incomplete surveys should just get auto-deleted, because the associated trip is too old to be useful. I never did a survey on my 2017 trip, but I don’t think much of anything that I would report about that trip now would be particularly useful to someone planning a trip today.
Still there.
@len
I’ve asked Brad (our dev who worked on surveys most recently) to figure out how to delete unfinished surveys > 30 days old.
@ParkRanger I can’t figure out how to delete that survey - I think it’s in some weird inconsistent state. I’ll ask Brad to take a look at that as well. Sorry about that.
Like Florida?
No problem, it’s a tiny, tiny thing. (But even tiny things can be annoying!) Thanks for looking into it!
