Please help me stop overthinking this ! :P

Hi guys, so here is the crowd calendar with my picks for my upcoming trip. I have the feeling it doesn’t matter much what I choose as I will have good TPs and will purchase multipass and individual lightning lanes for all days but I can’t help worrying that I am missing something…We are doing MK, HS and AK twice each and EP once and trying to avoid going to the same park 2 days in a row. First time to Galaxy’s edge and big SW fans so I tried to minimize HS crowds but I am also no taking advantage of the CL4 MK days…

All opinions, suggestions and ideas welcome !

Nov 3 MK: 5 EP: 6 HS: 7 AK: 6 (picked MK)
Nov 4 MK: 5 EP: 8 HS: 8 AK: 6 (picked AK)
Nov 5 MK: 5 EP: 6 HS: 7 AK: 5 (picked HS)
Nov 6 MK: 5 EP: 6 HS: 7 AK: 5 (picked EP)
Nov 7 MK: 4 EP: 6 HS: 6 AK: 6 (picked HS)
Nov 8 MK: 4 EP: 8 HS: 9 AK: 7 (picked AK)
Nov 9 MK: 6 EP: 7 HS: 8 AK: 7 (picked MK)

I just want to offer some solidarity that I also agonize over which day I go to which park and it’s so hard!

Comments: I would do one MK party day and one non-party day so that you can see the fireworks. I always worry about starting with MK because then it might be a let down afterwards. We are doing 2 Epcot days because it’s so big and I would rather eat dinner there twice. Just something to think about. You know better which rides and things you are interested in. I am not sure I could fill two AK days and that means no evening spectacular for two nights.

Thanks !!! lol no one can understand FOMO agony like us Disney nerds hahaha :stuck_out_tongue:

Are there special parties that week or do you mean like dessert party ???

I have 2 small kids with me and they are huge animal lovers so 1) we’ll spend WAY TOO MUCH time in AK and 2) I am not going to eat at anything classier than Pinocchio’s lol :stuck_out_tongue:

I meant Christmas party but it looks like it doesn’t start until the 8th. Honestly it might be worth moving around to hit MK on the 8th if you don’t plan on staying past 4. Those days are VERY light.

I get this! Then you know what works for you! I did a couple trips where we didn’t stay out at all for any night entertainment. Another piece of my tetris puzzle now is trying to do a later morning the day after a night out!

Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh…never did a party before !!! This explains why MK is a CL4 that day I guess. I guess we’ll go to MK that day AND do the party !!!

Yes, so many things to put together, make sure everyone in the family is happy and has their own needs fulfilled. I thought vacations were supposed to be restful, so naive… :stuck_out_tongue:

You don’t have to do the party on the same day that you do MK. It’s a separate ticket!

Yes but since it’s a CL4 before the party (and the other parks are 7-9), I was thinking to go there all day including the party. Makes sense ?

I would probably just reiterate what @melcort10 said about the parties.

There is only one party date to worry about while you are there. MVMCP starts on Friday Nov. 8th.

Since the crowd levels are so low on party days, you can get a lot done, even though they close at 6:00 to regular guests. I’ve heard this is a great time to go to MK!

But, this also means that all of the other parks have higher crowd levels that day, because most people will skip MK and go to a different park.
(I have done this before and it was a double whammy because it was Epcot on a MK party day and a Friday night! Ugh…so. very. busy. in world showcase, but I got to see Boyz II Men, so all was not lost!)

So, I’d think about this:
A) Go to MK on party day (Nov. 8th) and then head to one of the monorail resorts for a nice dinner. It’ll be day 6 of your vacay, so an early night may be just what you need.

B) skip a park ticket, have a rest day, and head to the party at 4:00. It’ll be the first party, so it’ll be sold out, but you’ll get a chance to run into all of your favorite You Tubers! (Depending on who you are, this is either great or horrible)

C) leave it as it is because your plan looks so fun as is!!

Oops! missed this! Okay, so no nice dinner after MK.

But the monorail resorts do have fun regular Quick Service places too! Totally un-bougie. And kids usually love riding the monorail!

I’ll be honest - I rarely look at crowd calendars anymore. On the last trip that I planned around crowd calendars, they might have been for some alternate universe WDW because they were all completely wrong. The one thing that I DO consider are MK party days. If you go on a party day (and don’t do the party) you will have fewer hours for the same admission price, you’ll get no fireworks, and with the reduced hours, leaving the park for a mid day break is pointless. Non-party days have more hours, but typically have larger crowds. I HATE that it’s “party season” 5 months out of the year.

I think that’s a great idea - especially now that I just saw the price for the party tickets !!!

Thanks - yeah my first impression is that I don’t want to get kicked out from the park early but I also don’t want to go to a packed park when one is almost empty…

ha! Sorry, that’s The End of the Road. Promise.

I don’t know your budget but I feel like since you’re going for so many days, park hoppers might be an affordable option for you (they’re cheaper the longer you go).

That way you can be more flexible in your plan. Like plan out every morning then play the afternoon by ear (or weather).

Thanks, I’ve debated this with myself a lot. I never hopped even once, the waste of time in transportation is repulsive to me LOL but maybe it’s time I become more open-minded haha. I’ll check the price difference.

I hop almost every day I’m there (unless I’m only do a half day in the parks). Travel time averages about an hour, and I can deal with that in the course of a 10-15 hour touring day.
