After much research here we got the LLMPs we wanted for 3 parks and were done booking LLMPs at 7:04 am. Preparation really paid off! Thank you to all who contribute to these forums.
I entered the new obtained LLMPS in the Lines App. and This is what I see now
The times I actually have are the afternoon ones. The morning LLMPs were the recommendations, but I could not get those times (at least not yet).
The app still shows the suggested (but unobtained) LLMPs even after I tried to change the times. For instance, it still shows RRC at 9:39 am. I guess the app knows the times I got because the list on the first screenshot shows the times I have, but didn’t change the actual plans.
I’m more familiar with the desktop version. There, you would untoggle the “I’m purchasing LL” option and go into the LL selections section, trashing all the ones you don’t actually have. Then delete the steps that tell you to obtain an LL. Then optimize. After you can try to change the setting to obtaining LLs so the software can make suggestions. I don’t find TP suggestions useful yet though. I do not use this feature.
What is your basic approach to preparing your TP’s now with LLMP and LLSP?
I am about 48 days out and I don’t want to wait until 7 days out to get some preliminary plans. I use the desktop version.
In the past, I ignored TP’s suggestions and forced my own LL’s based on TD availability tables. Should I prepare the plans first with all standby and see where we are? Also, I rarely used optimize but I just modify for changes because we like to tour the parks in a logical pattern rather than hopping all over the place.
This is still my approach.
I build my list of all the things I really want to do and some things that I would be bummed if I missed out on. I do leave some things out with notes to add these things in later if time allows. I set my walking to the slowest and change the setting to less walking over less wait time. I have a list of my desired LLs and I work from the hardest to get LLs to the easiest. I enter the first 3 time slots that I think I will get in pre-booking using Thrill Data’s info. I don’t figure going into BG1 to try to modify to earlier times. If I’m able to- great. But I don’t want to count on it for my plan.
After I have that entered I optimize my TP and move things around those preselected LLs to eliminate any back tracking around the park. Then I evaluate. From there I can see projected wait times and make my plan on day of LLs. I go to thrill data and see what LL times fit based on my first three projected tap in times. If I need to rely on a drop I make sure I’m not cutting that time too close as plans can get delayed for this reason or that. I want a good 20 - 30 minute buffer from tap in to expected drop- just in case.
From there it’s a back and forth on moving things. As I get about 3/4s through I add a few breaks for resting and move my walking to relaxed from the most relaxing positing (I think it’s called relaxed or slow- it’s the pace setting). Then I evaluate again. I’m usually satisfied at this point. I many shuffle things around slightly. And reevaluate as the TP updates crowd calendars and park times. Once I get my prebooked I enter them in exactly and reevaluate. I don’t mind a plan that has a little “free time” between steps. I always end up spending time in shops or looking at things that I didn’t initially account for. I’m better with being ahead of schedule. Falling behind makes me frantic, lol.
They look basically the same. There is some additional data with pre-booking now. They project what availability looks like x amount of days out. And they track when new inventory is added (pre-booking drops I call them).
If you are rope dropping with EE the wait may not be long at all- even if you hit FoP first (as long as you’re front of pack). I would prefer book it for the earliest time and the check it periodically for more inventory. They do drop more. Iirc, at the 3 day before and morning of. I don’t know if that is for EVERY ride but that’s what I’ve been seeing as a whole.
