Hi!
We haven’t been since 2018 but are gonna be back in WDW from 23 Apr to 3rd May!
We’ve been granted a DAS pass for my youngest and I’m just trying to figure out the best plan/strategy for our park trips.
We are unlikely to do whole days but more like rope drop top mid afternoon or late afternoon til close!
Any suggestions on the most strategic way to use the pass to minimise lines etc. I read a post saying I could use the touring plans and input das as lightning lanes but not sure how to do that!
Any suggestions welcome

I haven’t used DAS. But I can explain how to use it in a TP. Your DAS return time is the Disney estimated wait time (and I think plus 10 mins). That you will have to research on your own. TP will give you return times but they won’t be inflated as Disney usually is. Then you can plot a day. You enter your return times as LL selections.
You do get 3 selections before hand. I don’t know if you have to use them before you can get more. Hopefully someone can comment on that.
There are actually no advanced selections with DAS, and you can’t make your first selection until you are in the park. You can’t make the next one until you cancel the existing DAS selection, or ten minutes after the final tap at the last one your redeemed.
I haven’t tried to make a touring plan with DAS. I’m sure it’s possible, but in my particular case, the reasons my son qualifies for the DAS would make a plan difficult to follow. We remain quite at the mercy of what he can and is willing to do, which can be hard to predict. This is obviously a very individualized thing.
I should add, if you are aiming for high demand rides, you will want to look for times when the posted standby dips, because your DAS return will be shorter. And you will need something else to do while waiting. Last week, for example, we went to EP and immediately selected GOTG, and then we did some duck tales games until our return time came.

When I did qualify for DAS, I used my TP to decide what I wanted to do and what order. I put my three pre-booked ones at specific times, and I would evaluate as I went. Since pre-booked ones are no longer a thing, I would just use it to plan out my day and evaluate as I go. You just sign up for the next one after you are out of your last one. I think you have to wait ten minutes after tapping in.

I didn’t realize this changed!
I think I would just prioritize the things he likes to do and group them by proximity. Get the DAS for the attractions with the longest lines and plan standby for the “anytime” attractions. Its hard to do TPs for this instance. I think you just need much more flexibility in the moment.
Great advice!
Wonder why they stopped this. I didn’t even know they did! That was helpful to a lot of people.

Hey. Yeah we have to be v flexible depending on how my daughter is coping! And yep definitely no pre booked rides any more.
I guess it makes most sense to try and get the popular stuff booked asap and then find more chill stuff to do in between
