Nope, not the only one.
2018 we had Caribbean Beach for $159/night before taxes. I’d go to WDW at that price with no parks.
In 2013 we were in a 2 bedroom villa at Boardwalk, 7 nights, with 4 day tickets. Three full days in a row with no parks. We did use the pool and resort food. We had a great time.
Going to WDW knowing up front what was available or not would be better than arriving to discover your expected activities had disappeared.
Disney Springs and the best pool at Disney are not enough to justify the cost of their hotels on their own.
