One day visit.. packages?

Hey everyone!

I’m planning my return to FanFest Nights at Universal Hollywood next May. I am considering arriving at DLR, as I did this year, then going to LA.

I really would like to only stop in for one day on arriving then go to LA the next morning. Matterhorn was closed this year and it’s still a bucket list attraction.

I don’t see any packages that don’t include two days worth of tickets.

I looked online for Room Only deals, but they aren’t much better than just buying a second day of tickets.

I’m not opposed to doing a morning at DCA before leaving. It’s just going to cost me an extra $150….:man_shrugging:

Advice? I don’t mind arriving at USH a little later than planned, but don’t want to do two nights of hotel stays.

$150 is a lot for one morning. But unfortunately, that’s the nature of the beast with short theme park stays :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: So I’ve learned that if you want just 1 or 2 days somewhere it’s going to be higher than I think I should be paying, pretty much always.

I would look at what else you would potentially use that $150 towards and also, if you’ll still love your day 2 with the morning in Anaheim and transferring midday to LA (traffic will likely be less an issue) and rest of the time in USH.

If there’s nothing else that you would use that $150 towards that excites you more than a morning in DLR and your plans at USH are all looking good for a later than originally planned start, go for it!

If there’s something else that excites you more than that morning in DLR though, just get the room only and your park ticket separately and have breakfast somewhere in Downtown Disney or at the resort before taking off to LA.

Yeah… the Disney math always makes it hard to not add more days. Adding a day only increases the total price about $125 - $150 each night including park tickets…:zany_face:

I am going to put a deposit on something soon. It’s so hard to get my family to ever commit to anything. It’s so weird to me..:man_shrugging::rofl:

They always want to wait to the last minute before deciding. Even after all these years of me planning trips, I still don’t think they understand how far in advance some of these decisions need to he made. Not only to ensure a plane ticket, but lower rates overall.:roll_eyes:

Do you know what the ticket prices will be for your dates yet? I’m finding that the packages often assume some sort of average and it’s possible that we would pay less by buying 2 single day tickets vs 2 day package depending on the price that day… I think. I have not seen packages with less than two days. It’s all new to me so I could be wrong.
