We are adding a day in MK for our extended family trip to Evermore resort in Orlando. We have 15 people- 8 adults and kids 12, 11, 6, 6, 3, 3, and 1. We will have Premier Pass and dinner reservations at Crystal Palace. All of us have been to MK before, so we are just looking at what our priorities are and how to make it easiest. I’m creating a touring plan to help us, but trying to think of best spot for parade… if we should watch in Frontierland or on Main Street. Any tips for our day? Want to make sure everyone has fun and avoid meltdowns!
That would depend on which date, which parade and what you plan to do after the parade.
Why? The new Starlight parade will start on Main Street and finish in Frontierland. So for instance, if you are planning on immediately exiting the park after the parade, Main Street would be the best spot. Oops, thanks! We are visiting July 16. I’m talking about the Festival of Fantasy parade at 3. I wish we could be there for the new evening parade!
I’m not much help since I don’t usually watch the parades, but hope you have fun! With PP you should be able to tour according to geography without doubling back too much.
I’ve done the premier pass twice, and my recommendation is to start on over by Tiana, and work your way over to Tron so you can do Tron at night.
It’s a LOT of rides. I also did Country Bear Jamboree and the Tiki room the first time, did QS dining, and it took 10ish hours? With my girlfriends, we did dinner at Be our Guest, fireworks, Country Bear Jamboree, missed Monsters, Inc, (it closed at 9) and also needed 10 hours to get through it. So it’s a really, really long day if you really want to do it all
Your Crystal Palace meal may take much longer than you expect. The characters seem to take more time with guests. Hopefully this is the case with your group.
Last year we missed another activity we had planned to do after our early lunch. Now that we know what to expect, and 18 months later, we may do Crystal Palace again in October.
If you’re using Premier Pass I don’t think you need to make much of a touring plan. More a list of what you’d like to do. You’ll get it all done easily with premier pass based on what I’ve seen on youtube
Parade I love watching from the river side of liberty square, right near Hall Of Presidents.
