New here. I am using the room request for AKL Kidani Village, looking for a room near lobby on higher floor. No matter what I put in the filters I get the message “No rooms matching these filters are also TouringPlans Picks - other options are shown below” and it shows Room #7857 which is FAR away from the lobby/bus stop but has partial view. I like the partial view but we won’t be spending much time in room so we prefer a room near the lobby.
How do I get the app to make recommendations that suit our needs?
TIA!
This sounds like something that would be beneficial to bring up with Touring Plans by submitting a ticket:
Maybe someone else who sees this will know a good room number to recommend. But honestly I just would omit the room numbers in the request and just simply say “higher floor near the lobby.”
There aren’t any Touring Plans picks, but if you go down to the map you can see the whole resort is in red. Click on one of the blocks near the centre and you can then change the floor and see the rooms. I used studios.
I assume the TP picks are based on reviews. Kidani ox so big that maybe none are repeatedly chosen.
One thing that was odd was that you could pick Lower Floor, or Top Floor. There was no “higher floor” option. I’m surprise there is no way to select a room which is NOT on the ground floor other than top floor.
Probably in such a case, I would just leave that off my filter and then switch floors to look for what is desired. But when putting in the room request, I would think it would be important to be able to say that you don’t want a ground floor, or that you want an upper floor.
Wow, thanks everyone for the quick responses! Really appreciate that. I did as @Nicky_S suggested and I decided on rooms 7637 and 7639 (we booked 2-bed lockoff).
