I thought this was a April Fools’ Post
But it looks real…
Lol it’s like reading any news nowadays and not being able to tell if the headline is real or the Onion!
I know for conference goers, they sell After 1 pm tickets, and After 4 pm (or was it 5 pm) tickets, so I think offering something similar to the general consumer is a great idea. I am guessing they are really targeting those guests who wouldn’t otherwise want to waste a full day ticket on their arrival day.
ETA: Oh, wait. Didn’t pay attention. It is a 2 or 3 day ticket offering. So, my reason for it is probably only part of the story.
I think you’re kind of right. The ticket can probably get off-site guests in later when resort guests are starting to wind down. I think it also potentially gets guests going to Epic/Universal to finish their day at Disney.
That seem awfully expensive. Isn’t a full day ticket a similar price?
There are ways to get full day tickets cheaper than this. I assume this is cheaper than gate price though.
Basically for $40 more you could have full day tickets!
Interesting these “after 2pm” tickets don’t have a child price!

Convention:
For those who know about convention tickets, it makes no sense. But most guests do not know about those, so I think in the very least it offers a small savings opportunity.
I would potentially consider it for a single day ticket, but not multi day.
It varies by date, of course, but the price differential looks absurdly low if you’re just judging based on the home page.
This is a pretty sweet deal though:
For that small savings, all I can say is:

One being enlist in the military, serve 20 years and then retire. ![]()

I’ve always heard about convention tickets but don’t know how they work. Can anyone buy them.
? Do you have attend the convention or stay at the hotel where it is?
Yes, anyone can buy them, Disney does not check if you are attending the convention when you buy tickets.
If you have to call their con tix team, you should know which convention you bought from - they do ask, but is just part of their script.
(Convention hotel discounts are not a good idea to book, the con manager will check those and can bump people if their block is full.)
See my run down in post 2 of this thread:
As you can see from the title of that thread it also covers the UK Attraction Tickets 14-day tix, which can be an even better deal than con tix when there’s a sale and the GBP to dollar is favorable. ![]()
