Disney Believe, setting sail 2027!
That’s so cool! TFS
The more ships, the better chance I have to afford them. ![]()
I hope they don’t retire the flagships.
Encanto and Snow White!? squeal
What is TFS
Thanks for sharing
You’re welcome!
I was surprised it hadn’t been posted here yet
Right? I love cruise news and this is th first I’ve heard.
Sounds great! I’m mildly surprised they’re already building another one!
Yeah it feels like they may be saturating their market
Or as alluded to above, preparing to retire the originals which would’ve terrible
I don’t mind the saturation itself too much, but I would mind if the service quality doesn’t have a chance to stabilize. We’ve had discussions elsewhere about how adding 3-4 ships in a few years has really sent a shock wave through customer service. The crews are all inexperienced, to a a degree - whether they are new to Disney or new to their specific ship.
That’s a good point.
I am just surprised that this is coming at a time when they clearly - based on discounts - are not selling ships out. But I suppose this ship was probably already on order before the market turned.
Yeah I would expect them to launch 3 ships and then wait a bit to see how it lands before going on with another one.
I’m not a fan of the Wish class ships. I’m eagerly waiting to see what comes after them.
Has the Adventure started sailing yet?
Yes. It set sail from Singapore on March 10, 2026.
I hope they are just spreading out their ships. It would be sweet to have longer and shorter runs out of the same ports. Like two ships in TX and two in Miami and two in PC, etc. And two in the west coast to manage AK, California, and more HI cruises.
Oooooo. A girl can dream.
Oops. I forgot Europe! See. We need more ships. ![]()

Thank you!
Brand new!!
Is that a ship that was repurposed from another line, or am I misremembering? I tried to find some photos, but I am only on my phone and was just getting artist renderings.
You are right. Another cruise line, Genting Hong Kong, had it ordered for their Dream Cruise brand, but then Covid happened and Genting collapsed. Disney bought the ship in 2022, and spent a lot of time and money redoing a lot of things to make it Disney-fied, plus finishing it. (Wikipedia is my friend.
)
We watched a ship tour of the Adventure from the maiden voyage. That ship is so much nicer than what I have seen on Disney’s other ships…(That is to say, we have been on Fantasy, and seen vlogs of their other ships.) They had to work with a ship that was already mostly designed/built, so it isn’t perfect…but I think Disney could learn a thing or two at considering other ship designs.
Yeah. That was what we felt about the Fantasy. Very inexperienced crew. Our service was better on Allure of the Seas. Definitely made Disney a one and done for us. I can’t believe we are the only ones who feel this way.
Adventure’s layout is similar to Royal Caribbean’s Oasis class ships (which was also copied by MSC for their World America ship). There are considerable differences between Adventure and Oasis class (Royal doesn’t have silly rides on top, for one) but it’s interesting to see similarities with the open air concept. Personally I much preferred Oasis to DCL’s Treasure layout, and I agree that Adventure looks amazing from an aesthetic perspective. It’s also interesting to see the details and amenities tailored to the Asian market compared with other lines’ ships in Asia, especially since Disney has no casinos. I’ll be really interested to see how Adventure fares.
It’s too early for me to be excited about Believe with no details but I’m sure it will be a beautiful ship.
I did the same thing last night!!
It also said the ship IS the destination with all sea days, and that all cruises are shorter (3-, 4-, 5- days).
I’m not a super cruiser, but I do know what I like.
I do like 5-day cruises, but I don’t think I would like ONLY sea days (though I love a few sea days, for sure). With that said, my biggest personal complaint about DCL is that there isn’t enough to do on their ships, but this ship certainly has more features. If the ship IS the destination, it needs to have more bells and whistles, especially if you are marketing to a wide age group that includes families with young children.
I’ve only done one RCCL, but the first thing I thought of when I saw some artist’s renderings was that it resembled that layout.
What in particular makes it nicer? I’ve only done Magic, Wonder, and Wish (not Fantasy or Dream), but I thought they were beautifully done. (Though they needed more activities.)
LOL - sign me up for silly rides! ![]()
It sounds like Adventure has rotational dining, characters, and live shows, which are the three things DCL has that other lines do not, and the reasons I will someday do another DCL cruise. I am sure Disney fans in that market will keep this ship plenty busy as long as the fares don’t block them out.
All that said, I’ll never get on Adventure until it is someday deemed “old” and is moved to US ports. ![]()
