We have narrowed down our list of potential resorts for our upcoming Disneyland trip, but then I realized that a couple of them have pet-friendly policies. I am quite allergic to dogs and cats and other pets, and I have had trouble staying in hotels with pet-friendly policies. We would prefer a Marriott property (but not a necessity) and something with at least 3 beds so my kids don’t have to share. Favorite suggestions?
I think your biggest issue will be service animals. They are allowed to go anywhere humans are, even in non-pet-friendly environments. So even a hotel with a “no pets” policy would still have to let service animals in, and if you go in next, you could suddenly have a huge breathing problem
True. I usually haven’t had big problems in most hotels, but we once stayed in one that was “pet-friendly” suites and I could see the pet hair on the side of the couches. It was hopefully just a one-off. One of them did say that we could call the week before to ask for a “VIP cleaning.” Maybe that will be fine??
Some pet-friendly hotels have specific rooms that allow pets so they don’t contaminate every room. I’d call and ask them what their policies are.
I called a few and they all said that they don’t. Especially the hotels that are mostly suites. I thought for sure that some would have a block of rooms reserved for that purpose but not so much…
