Her in-laws are visit from Massachusetts, so their whole family is going to Magic Kingdom for Xmas. If she buys their tickets for them, does the FL resident discount still apply? Or will they be forced to show ID upon check in and pay extra?
My understanding is that using a FL discount requires a FL residence or FL ID. I know I can buy military discounted tickets for friends and family but I can’t buy them a FL resident ticket. We renewed our APs and when we go to activate them they will ask to see our FL DL (proof of residency: voter reg. card, utility bill, rental agreement).
Also, they need to buy those tickets quickly b/c EC is already sold out for Christmas or New Years
Thanks. I’ve never been in that situation, so I didnt know what to tell her
I believe she could buy FL tickets for children (nieces nephews) that go with her to the park (she would show her FL ID and kids don’t have to), but not for adults as they would have to show separate Florida ID. This was the case for our friends whose parents live in Florida. Grandparents could buy the FL resident passes for grandkids, but out of state adults had to get regular tickets.
oh, this is good information.
There are no nieces or nephews. It’s her husband’s parents
so if they are all adults they would have to pay full price on the dates they want
or find somewhere to get a better deal. Look at this thread https://forum.touringplans.com/t/convention-tickets-tip-now-also-discussing-uk-attraction-tickets/46005
