Hi. We have rented points twice from the DVC Rental Store. I also purchase their cancel for any reason insurance. This cost me $175 for a 5 night stay at BCV, in addition to the cost of the points. Here is what my contract says about cancellation, and how much I would get back if I had to cancel. My check in date is 3/30, so you will see how it is broken down:
You cannot get all of your money back if you cancel, but can get most of it back if you cancel 45 days or more before trip. In my case $2 a point would be $186 since I rented 93 points. So I would be out the $186 plus the $175 for the insurance, so $361 of the $1849 I paid if cancelled more than 44 days out.
