MVMCP Tips

Need tips and help for MVMCP on 11/27. Priority parade fireworks shows, shopping some exclusive party food, cookies, a few pics. Only must do rides are space mountain for overlay and maybe speedway. Only planning one character meet- Santa Stitch but may do others. Will do other rides if time allows. Normally do parade Frontierland but thinking Main Street for experience . But don’t want to camp out in crowds forever so torn. We are party of 7 with one in scooter to consider as well for viewing over people standing. But may split into two subgroups for parade and fireworks. Think we could make to second parade but not sure if best approach. We plan to do another day at MK on a party day. For those that have been or planning to go - what works best for which parade and how soon to arrive for that and fireworks to also see projections. All tips are welcome - thank you!

We did (for both Christmas and Halloween party last year) fireworks and immediately after 2nd parade and were able to get fantastic location. After fireworks we swam upstream to get to castle curb so we could turn around after parade and catch the stage show and we had prime views of both.

We rode Space right after party started and then speedway and monsters inc Christmas show and mad tea party. We got in line for seven dwarfs but it was way under posted so we didn’t make it and hightailed it back for fireworks, parade and stage show and we had gotten a BG for tron for that last hour as I recall so we were able to fit than in as well. If that gives you some idea of timing.

*adding it’s much easier during a party to show up 20-30min before and still get a good fireworks and parade view from Main Street. There was not that long between the end of fireworks and the 2nd parade and we were able to get spots in the hub and on the curb for it. I do not think you need to waste time holding a spot.

Thank you - very helpful to hear of your experience. Where did you watch fireworks at specifically ? I also imagine some leave after as they may have done first parade.

The scooter may be problematic and getting 7 people together maybe an issue for both fireworks and parade if you don’t invest some time! How much time? I couldn’t tell you. I was by myself, so I could squeeze in most places.

People camp out for hours in the Hub and Main Street for the fireworks and at least the first parade!

I watched the first parade because the lines for Meet & Greets and photos tend to be shorter later in the Party.

I would have loved a castle view for my parade but a spots with a decent view have been saved for hours!

I settled for a view of the Christmas tree in Town Square instead. I posted about the parade here:

I arrived in the Hub around 9:35 and got a decent view for fireworks. But again, it was just me. I think you would be challenged to find space for 7 people with a decent view of the projections 30 minutes before.

Sometimes, the problem is that it could be a decent view until the fireworks begin. People then stand up and put their kids on their shoulders! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had a kid’s butt in my face during fireworks! :rage: :rage: :rage:

I posted my fireworks view starting here:

You can try to get a spot at the tape here, when they put the tape down.

That way, you won’t have anyone directly in front of you for about 6 feet. But people can be lined up for those spots 30-45 minutes ahead.

Have fun!
