We have someone taking care of them. There will be someone with them a fair bit, but not 24/7 as I fear they’ve become accustomed to.

I like to breathe and to be able to have functional eyes. Dogs have the courtesy of letting me do both. I don’t really have anything against cats, I just don’t want to be near them.

This is the princess waiting for my mom to go to bed where she cries until my mom pets her to sleep.
She also sits next to my mom on the couch and cries at her and pokes her arm with her paw until she pets her for a sufficient amount of time. I swear it sounds like she’s saying ‘mom’ instead of meow.

That’s my kind of cat! Smokey loves my mom, uses my dad for food, and only tolerates me sometimes. I love loving cats.

I adopted Merida about 2 weeks before the world shut down, so she really only knew life with me being home all the time. The first 2 weeks of being back at school, I’d come in and she would be sitting on the end of the bed and start yowling at me as soon as I opened the door.

Another Animal rescue mama here. We currently have 3 dogs and 1 cat. When I would foster, we had up to six dogs, but that was only b/c DH wouldn’t tolerate more than that. I could easily see us ending up with numbers into the teens if left up to me. I see that mug in my immediate future. Also my cat communicates his displeasure to me. If I yell he will run up to me and “yell” back. He will also “yell” at me after I take a trip.

Cats are vindictive creatures lol. Yes DH somehow didn’t divorce me when we’d have six adult dogs (well 7 month old puppies+ so full grown almost) and a litter of 10 puppies and I’d show up with a stray I found on the way home from soccer practice. He’s a keeper I’m telling you.
PS I do like cats too just not as much as dogs so I tease cat owners.

We do kitten fostering, but not this year as we are doing some home reno projects and don’t have a place for them. It feels weird - the summer without kittens!
I have cats that just swat me if I stop petting them. Gently, but still … it’s annoying.

DD17 is working at a locally run specialty tea and smoothie store. They customize their cups for their customers with little drawings and motivational messages. It’s cute.
Anyway today DD made these. Not quite mugs but kind of!
