Mousematt's super-fun Pick ONE game!

LOL…I don’t DO rules, man! Just kidding, I was actually more torn than I should have been about whether to list that as a “ride” or a “show”, so I was right there with you.

This surprises me.

I have taken one tour, in Disneyland and it was such a waste of time and money to me…all of us on it (about 8 Liners) thought it was terrible. It was the Holiday tour, and literally all it involved was walking through both parks while the guide pointed out decorations. We did get a cookie and hot chocolate, and a place to sit to watch the parade, but other that it wasn’t great. It had included the rides with holiday overlays every year until that one, so we were expecting that. My friend and her sister bailed halfway through the tour and got a full refund, as they felt they were just wasting time. This was back in 2015 I think, but it kind of ruined the idea of a tour for me!

What is your ONE favourite . . .
This is all based off of 1 8-day visit in 2016 with some conjecture based on what I’ve researched from planning (and pushing back) a few other tentative visits since then

HOTELS AND PARKS
Resort (overall) I thought for sure it would be Poly, and while I enjoyed the parts of Poly that we saw in the several times we visited it for dining/transportation as a way to use the Monorail loop), it ended up being GF
Deluxe resort GF, the second I stepped in it was uncannily what I’d described my version of heaven to look like, that’s hard to beat & then my most favorite character meet happened at 1900 PF bfast to make it a no-contest for any other resort ever
Moderate resort No idea, but POR appeals as does Coronado
Value resort Our only stay is at AsMo and it exceeded all of my very low expectations of it, but I was super disappointed not to book POP as there’s so much great chatter on it
Park (overall) Epoct but AK is a close 2nd
Transportation Ferry to MK, it’s magical

FOOD
Character meal 1900 PF bfast with Mary Poppins
Table service restaurant Limited experience from 1 trip says Ohana dinner, but I suspect Cali Grill or any of the AKL restaurants would top that
Quick service restaurant Columbia Harbor House, without a doubt [is the 2nd floor still a secret refuge?]
Breakfast item That I’ve had, made to order omelette’s at 1900 PF & that I’d like to try, anything from Les Halles bakery in France WS
Lunch / dinner item The spread at Ohana was fabulous, but also the lobster roll at CHH
Snack Snacking around the World in WS, there was just so much I loved
Drink The avocado margarita at La Cava

FUN
Rollercoaster-style ride Expedition Everest
Boat-type ride Splash
Classic ride Peter Pan’s Flight WITH THE OPTION OF A FPP (the option for a FP weighs in heavily for me as in our more frequented DLR this is not an option & it’s my favorite classic ride in any Disney park in the U.S.
Other ride Tower of Terror but I could see any of the new rides that have been added since April 2016 (mostly Pandora) taking this spot over once we finally get back
Character meet Mary Poppins at 1900 PF bfast- can’t beat Mary Poppins (my absolute fave & has been since I was 10 months old- as my mother), telling my children that "I hope you listen to your mother as I suspect she’s practically perfect in every way"
Stage show Tie between Frozen Sing Along (miss this in DCA!) and Nemo (we still sing Big Blue World 3 yrs later…)
Night-time spectacular In 2016 it was the SW fireworks (pre-projections) but F! from a seat was divine as well, but I suspect that HEA will give both a big run for their money and we love WoC in DCA so we may possibly also love RoL, so is all of the above a choice? No, ok, then fireworks.
Dessert party Never done one but would choose SW based on the dessert selection
After Hours event Never done one, but based on my family’s response this morning to me explaining how DAH works including never-ending bottled drinks and Mickey bars, probably MK DAH
MVMCP / MNSSHP Never done one but suspect we would rather do an early resort night to swim/do laundry/watch a movie by the pool or option to get our fill of a night at Disney Springs
Tour Again, not done one but Behind the Seeds and Caring for Giants are high on the list for family-friendly ones that we’d be most interested in
In park experience (of any kind) Kiss Goodnight, but the butterfly tent at F&G festival is a close 2nd

MERCH
Magic bands / Trading pins / Mickey ears (pick one) Impossible! But I must say I am very glad I don’t have a trip planned in the midst of this kerfuffle that is getting an upgraded magic band- we were all about that at full price on our first trip & the possibility of having them as a smaller up-charge to our free band would have me in a furor over the computer/phone constantly watching for our family’s favorites to pop up
Souvenir Mugs, all the mugs, I can never have enough Disney mugs
