Have I made a tactical blunder? Followed signs to Ground Transportation. Didn’t see signs for ride shares. But saw a bunch of Mears taxis. So got in one.

It’s a Don’t Catch A Disease trip. Upcharge lounge much less crowded.

My Lyft XL to Loews Portofino was $56.50 before tip…so that’s not bad.

This is what we Brits have to put up with when we come over. And most of us, unlike @sanstitre_has_left_the_building, have to fly economy. 9 hrs of leg cramps is no fun.

In room. There’s good news and bad.
The room is a LONG way from the lobby. This is my fault. I booked a Volcano view room. This is my view:
Nice, right. Well, yes and no. That’s the view if I look at quite a severe angle. The straight out view is of the highway.
Lesson learned. I don’t recommend the upcharge for Volcano view rooms.

My plan. Walk the eight miles to the lobby via Starbucks and then walk (rather than bus) to the parks.
If I can do Hagrid and VelociCoaster today that will really take the pressure off the rest of the trip.
