The registration was different than I remember (it’s been a bit over a year) so I didn’t realise I was actually done until I saw the confirmation email on another screen. But done.

Do you or @Nicky_S or anyone know if we have to keep our DVC reservation to go to moonlight magic? DD14 made the Daytona volleyball team and we’ll be going. We just don’t know if we’re staying on Disney property or at Universal (I have both booked).

Another mom invited herself and her daughter on our birthday side trip and wants to do Epic. Despite my slight (possibly more than slight) irritation that I didn’t want to do Epic until next year or plan on having to sort stuff out for two other people or even explore Epic for the first time with anyone other than my kids, I’m evaluating my options.

You do if the MM registration was made with the early booking that required a DVC stay. If you made the MM reservation during the general registration when a DVC stay isn’t required, you don’t have to keep the DVC stay.

Congrats to DD, but sorry to hear your trip has been hijacked!

Thank you! This is what I thought, but wasn’t sure. It’s a fluke from two hurricanes ago that we got it during general registration instead of early. So, yay.

Thank you for the confirmation though!

I decided to (mostly) ignore the other mum in figuring this out and plan as I want. Then let her know what we’re doing and that she’s welcome to join. I have overlapping reservations DVC and at Universal but DVC isn’t consecutive (1 night BLT and 1 night BCV) and it’s literally an unexpected 2 night bonus so I guess Universal is more logistically sound. Hopefully it’ll still feel magical. We’ve never been in Dec.

I think Universal’s holiday decor is so much better than the MK’s. :face_with_peeking_eye: Especially Harry Potter and Dr. Suess areas. I hope you have a fabulous time! Try to go in the evening when everything is lit up too.

I am hoping to attend the February Moonlight Magic at Epcot. I have been stalking but unable to find a studio for that night, 2/12. We do have the previous two nights booked on points. I’ve read some conflicting info on whether or not we are eligible for advance registration, having a DVC resort reservation for 2/11, checking out on 2/12, but not actually the night of 2/12.

Does anyone know if I can book on the advance registration day? Thanks!

So member services said I could not do early registration, but the person I got on chat said I could. I guess I’ll find out on registration day!

It’s so frustrating to get different answers from CMs. Since your check out date allows you all the benefits and access until midnight I can see why you would be allowed to try for early registration, and I would if I were you. But since it’s just a chance at early registration you know you’ll have a second chance :two_hearts:

I was in this same situation for October’s MM event at AK (10/29) and can report that I was able to register early for the event even though I was checking out of Bay Lake Tower on 10/29 and moving to The Swan for 3 nights.
