MNSSHP Entry with multiple ticket types

We are going to Mickey’s Not So Scary in October. 3 people - 3 party tickets. But 2 people in the party have APs and want to book a LLSP for Tron for sometime between 4 and 5:30ish. How would entry to the park look for this?

Would we have to send the one person without an AP to the regular party line and the other two go through the main tap-stiles? Then, how would the AP ticket people getting their party wristbands?

Am I overthinking this? (Probably yes). You do have to scan in with the APs to the park to use lightning lanes correct? I’ve not been to a special event party in a long time and I don’t recall how all this worked.

Does the non AP holder have a ticket that is eligible for entry that day in order to make the LLSP?

The AP holders can enter through the regular day guest line. There will be check in spots in the park to get your credentials. They should be able to stop right at the entrance and get them there.

I’m not sure this has been tested but I would definitely tap in with the AP using the regular taps just in case, then go over to the right to get the bands, etc.

Also one thought – make sure the AP folks have a park reservation for that day in order to be eligible to get the LLSP and also to enter the park if arriving prior to the party entry time.

No, only the party ticket for the non AP holder. I was planning on booking LLSP only the AP holders.

I haven’t tested this - but I don’t think they’d care? If you purchased the LLSP, then you have an eligible ticket type to have an LLSP.

So, even if you only scan your party ticket, it is linked back to the account, so it should still work if they LLSP are made in their names.

I am vaguely recalling someone testing this and it seemed to work. But I could be misremembering.

I know for a fact you can’t book LLSP without an eligible ticket type, of which a Halloween ticket is not. And I believe I remember someone trying to buy one once they were already in the park with a party ticket only and they were not able to buy LLMP or LLSP, but that part I could be misremembering.

OK, I’m getting more confused. So what does an AP holder scan to get into the party? Magicband - the paper ticket they emailed me?? I just want to know if we can go in via the regular line with the party only guests and be buzzed in?

There are two entrances: special event (party) and day guests. The AP holder would go through the regular line (day guests) or through the special event line, but that line will be much, much, much longer. There will be giving out event wristbands (or what they are giving out) right beyond the turnstiles and in locations in the park.

OK but as the AP holder it doesn’t really make a difference in which line I go through for how I get scanned? I just want to make sure that Disney knows 1)I’m in the park with an AP (so I can use LL) & 2)for the party so I can get a wristband.

I don’t want to send the non AP holder through a different line than me so if I am best just going through the party line that is fine.

If this is your priority, I would have you all go through the party line together. There is a small chance you won’t be able to use the LLSP for Tron (i.e., if the LL system is checking to see if you entered with a ticket that is eligible to purchase LL), but there is a decent chance it will still work, or that the CM will let you in even if there is a glitch.

The tapstile system in the party line is configured to only take your party ticket, even if you have an AP or other ticket medium on your MB / phone / profile, so your AP will not be scanned if you enter through the party line. But as I said, that shouldn’t be a problem.

Hmmm, I could also go through the regular line - exit then go through the party line. I am definitely overcomplicating things at that point.

I was going to just hand my MagicBand off to my daughter and her friend to ride without me but might not be worth the effort.

I, an AP holder, entered the party in the party line using my magic band.

But I see now why you’re overthinking it. It’s the handoff of the magic band that would complicate things of there was an issue at the LL taps. I don’t think there would be. I think if you bought the LL, it doesn’t really matter if you arrived via the party ticket.

I entered the party last year with my AP. I was with two friends that had one day non park hopping tickets (used earlier that day at Epcot) and party tickets. I stood in the very, very, very, long party entrance line with my friends. We all scanned in, got wristbands, and then went to Tron (since I had bought us all LLSP). You just need a valid ticket for any park, plus the party tickets. If you don’t mind waiting in the long line, you can all enter together.

You are probably not overthinking it, since the different ticket types can make party entry confusing. The two AP holders should still follow the requirements for their Lightning Lane selection, while the guest using only the party ticket will need the appropriate event entry process. I would confirm the wristband procedure with Cast Members that day.
