Everyone has to do their part!!
Iâve been to DW several times when I was younger, and go to DLR all the time and we will not be going to DW any time soon. Too complex (even for this TPer) and too expensive.
I know a few of us shelled out for both.
In fact, I have gone to WDW more in the last 18 months than I have ever before.
This is next level hero status right here!!!
Thatâs because everyone is at Disneyland! So crowded here, but also only 65-70 degrees and no humidity so it makes sense. Glad you had low crowds over there.
I think this is happening everywhere. I keep seeing reports of stores, restaurant chains starting to lower prices to try to entice shoppers again. I think the pendulum on prices has swung far enough that people are starting to change behaviors (which IMHO, is good, because now consumers will be driving costs of goods more)
Well, those people should move to the superior states of New EnglandâŚ
I saw an interview with the founder of Air BNB who sheepishly admitted that had gone overboard jacking up prices and fees. .
I am also worried about next week being packed when we are there because of the start of summer break, but it was the only week we could squeeze it in and was definitely not my first choice.
It was not crowded at all last Saturday. I think itâs the heat.
Yep
Only if you can cancel the snow!
Do they make warm snow though
Yes but just in summer
We call it ârainâ
Part of the low crowds had to do with the lower FL resident passes being blocked. I am seeing a trend with that over the last year.
I was thinking about this last night
And thinking about allllllllllll the people saying itâs because people are sick and tired of the high prices and complexity of planning a WDW vacation
And I thought to myself, âHuh. If thatâs right, then every day from here on out should be a CL 1-2. Hooray for me!!!â
Sounds silly doesnât it?
Having been here this week and seeing some lower than average days, I think the heat paired with some schools still being in session is a big deterrent this week. Lots of people have been flocking to the indoor shows and ride queues. The pools have been very busy, especially the water slides. I think the crowds will pick up again this next week since itâs gotten busier since coming.
Climate change has practically cancelled most of the snow⌠and turned it to rain!
This is what I was going to chime in with here. I donât think there are a bunch of empty rooms, people are just spending less time in the parks due to the heat. That drives down the average wait times that the CLs are based on.
We were in Epcot Monday, HS Tuesday, MK Wednesday, and AK Friday. Knowing the crowd actuals, I probably would have sacrificed the EEHs for the lower CLs. Epcot (CL8) was the only day that felt busy but Guardians and TT were our only significant waits.
