We’re on Day 2 of our first trip on our resale BWV contract. I haven’t asked about discounts because I assumed we didn’t qualify, but when I used mobile checkout at the emporium this afternoon it automatically applied a 20% dvc discount. Any idea why this would happen? Should I ask for the discount when I checkout in person too, or should I just be content with the mobile discount as long as it lasts?

I believe this is a long running glitch. I remember seeing it discussed for a couple of years.

We are also resale and this has been happening for years now. Enjoy it but don’t push it. I’ve definitely been denied the discount at other shops. A few and some restaurants will just glance but it’s usually not worth it to try and scam.
But definitely try to consolidate your purchases to the Emporium or WoD at Disney Springs. So much of the merch can be found there.

For a long time the stores would look at your MDE account that says you are a DVC memeber.
But now they usually ask to see it in mobile wallet, which distinguishes those with memeber perks from those without.
Glad to hear mobile checkout still works! And welcome home! Hope your stay has been great. I use my add-on BCV contract for the first time in a few weeks and I am so excited.
