I have a Roku TV and I hate the remote design. There are no numbers, so you cannot type in the channel number you want. You either have to scroll up and down one channel at a time or go to the guide and scroll. It is also not very responsive, and it either will do nothing when I click a button or do multiples of what I am trying to do.
My in-laws have one of these and when I was using it yesterday, it took me forever to find the buttons I needed. The volume was small buttons on the right edge of the remote – very non-intuitive.
Ginger! This is not UCT! ![]()
Yet, pick up that remote unwisely and the sound is INSTANTLY blaring at level 95 or thereabouts. Hair trigger
Our first Roku remote was broken. I knew what was wrong with it (connections inside not properly connected) but it took hours of excrutiating texts with “tech support” who clearly had only a check list in front of them saying do this if that is happening. Finally the next day I got an actual phone number and was able, after only an hour, to get an authorization to return for a refund. ![]()
I would not have ordered another Roku except that all things about our tv/internet/wifi setup considered, that was the way to go.
Next remote worked as it should, except sometimes it won’t respond. I point it at the tv sensor and turn the tv off. And then on. And the pesky rascal works for a while.
Note: why are the sensors on tvs not in the same place on all makes and models?
Because it’s not
I’m going to be pedantic, but you’ll notice that the “s” is missing. It’s because that sentence is supposed to be in the present tense “jumps” and not the past imperfect tense “jumped”
Sphinx.
Oh, you meant the other sentence.
The first sentence
Oh you’re right. I didn’t read it properly.
It’s fine. Most people use “jumped” because it flows smoother, but it’s also using only 25 letters ![]()
I have a dear friend who has the most beautiful semi colon tattoo on her wrist. I spread awareness in her honor.
