Since we do free estimates, we charge $50 if someone wants a detailed breakdown. It can take a lot of time. But I really want to use this line one day :joy:

controversial opinion: I genuinely like The Final Frontier.

Do not misunderstand, it’s bad. But at least it’s not boring like The Motion Picture

Yeah, The Motion Picture definitely has some pacing issues. I’m still convinced it was the creation of the Borg though (I have never bothered to see if I’m right or wrong).

I do agree The Motion Picture is pretty boring.

But, I do have a fond memory of it: My (several years older) sister worked at Amex in Manhattan when it came out and they had some affiliation with the movie’s release.

So I got to see an early preview of it at the Felt Forum attached to Madison Square Garden before it was in theaters.

As a 14 or 15yo Trek fan, it was pretty cool! I remember everyone in the theater being stoked that anything Trek was happening.

I like both movies. Final Frontier is an odd duck for sure, but it’s also the Star Trek movie that feels the most in the spirit of the 1960s T.V. series, which I appreciate.

And yeah, the Slow Motion Picture proceeds at, shall we say, a measured pace, but it has an awesome, big honking sci-fi thought experiment at its center, and it’s maybe the most gorgeous Star Trek has ever looked on the big screen.
