I think it’s cream so in essence it’s like a strawberry shortcake but with bread. But in my Japan trip planning one of the youtubers was talking about how the fruit sandwich was one of the things he hated about Japan…

I’m sure I have unknowingly had fruit and mayo together, but not knowingly. The ratio of fruit to ‘mayo’ on those sandwiches would be a huuuge no go for me if it is indeed mayo.

So, my son is a power lifter and drinks real maple syrup. Plenty of the lifter use sugar and carbs to give them the extra bolt when lifting. My DS just likes the more natural way to do it. So he literally is drinking from a maple syrup bottle its odd to see.

I wonder if it’s cream cheese in the sandwiches.
My mom used to make something like those in the 60s when she had people over. You have the bakery cut the loaf lengthwise and then spread cream cheese on it with a cherry at the end. Then roll the cherry up with the bread and cut the roll so you have a spiral of bread and cream cheese with a cherry in the middle. They were good.

I think it may be a whipped cream type. The bread makes for a cake like layer. Im sure its a desert like thing.
