I’m watching it right now and agree it is excellent. That same thought came through my mind too, but then I thought that’s actually a pretty American issue which is just sad af.

There is an episode of The Americans (one of my favorite shows of recent years - I love Keri Russell) where they are planning a trip to Epcot. I don’t think they end up going actually, but they talk about it several times. (It takes place in the '80s and deals with Russian spies during the Cold War.)

Ooh! I was able confirm the actual name of the bird. It’s Benny Karl.
Actually, having a pet named Benny is more apropos to Star Wars than Lola.
