That makes me think of the RadioLab Loops episode - one example is a REALLY silly comedy routine with Kristen Schaal where there really is no point but to just keep going until it becomes funny. or something.
They talk about it from about 2:30 to 8:00 in the episode.

I think it is saying that’s a really long way to walk. Although it may be basing it off the original CSI set in Vegas as based on the TV show there’s no chance you’ll walk that far at night in Vegas and make it through alive…

Only times I’ve walked that is in summer when it was like 121 outside. So that sucked, but at night much more tolerable. If that starts at the Bellagio and finishes somewhere out by Encore/Wynn, that can’t be more than like 2 miles I think. That’s like an hour at WDW.

To my eye, that is what it looks like. I have walked from Luxor to Wynn multiple times in the past, using the indoor walkways in Bellagio, Caesar’s, Palazzo, etc. when possible. It’s a long way, but why else do you go to Vegas other than to see the casinos?
