it has to be a multiple of 7
so you’re on the right track @austin1985
I know the answer but I want other people to spend as much time as I did figuring it out.
Divisible by 7 and 300 is divisible by 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, meaning if removing those in multiples from 301, you end up with one left in each case.
That’s one big-ass basket of eggs.
I love how you explained your thought process and reasoning aka maths

Is there a shortcut for finding the LCM of 6 numbers besides just checking each multiple of 7?
There are rules of multiples that you can use just by looking at number; besides it needing to be odd and a multiple of 7.
ETA: divisibility rules… I’m retired ![]()

I just knew it had to end in a 1 since n had to be odd and (n-1) had to be divisible by 5. Started at 91 to be a multiple of 7, and counted by 70s so it was only a few quick checks.
And you can only “people” for so long before you need some solitude to decompress. It’s one of the reasons I’ll always choose to pay more for my own room vs share in a group situation
I’m both shy and introverted.

ETA: Oh. Nevermind. I misread the problem!
Ignore 8. 8 isn’t enough.
Exactly. What was she doing with 301 eggs?!?

Or 301 eggs.
Or anyone who doesn’t use milk at all?
Yes, weirdo!!

She had a picnic coming and needed them for egg salad and deviled eggs.
Shopping for Gaston?
