Memes and Jokes (Part 1)

It just seems like this tree wasn’t meant to be seen, lol. Maybe they went down a rabbit hole and realized some more recent timeline info was wrong leading them to a whole family tree that wasn’t really theirs, deleted everyone, got fed up and either gave up or just stared a new tree :joy: it is extremely odd though!

I have struggled to keep my favorite Coke Zero Vanilla but by keeping my eyes peeled and buying as much as possible any time I saw it in stock, I have been able to have my necessary one per day almost every day this pandemic with just one or two short stretches where I tried something else (including orange vanilla and regular Coke Zero, which weren’t satisfactory substitutes).

Recently it’s been hard to find vanilla zero again, but today my wife sent me this pic. They changed the branding!

I found exactly one 12 pack about 2 months ago. Before it was about a year or so since I had seen it. Thats a good sign you see it. Crossing my fingers! Little Ceasars (budget pizza place) had 2 litters for $4.50 each. I’ve been calling them periodically. They don’t even have them yet. Can’t believe I’ll pay that much for a 2 liter but… well yes I can!

I know! You’d pay that much for 2 ounces at Disney.

I have to avoid NutraSweet and it seems that NutraSweet and corn syrup are the only sweeteners being used. I switched over to Sodastream and it is amazing! I was a Diet Coke with Splenda girl. At times in my life I’d drink a 2-liter a day. Now, I make my own coke syrup, but I do love the Soda Stream Diet Root Beer and Diet Energy Drink. The soda stream is hooked to a big co2 tank. I also have liquid caffeine, so I can caffeinate the Diet Root Beer. We are taking it to Disney (with the small co2 bottles) DH likes their version of DrPepper with a little orange added.

They dont have anything that I like in the soda realm. I settle for diet coke, then find something with booze in it

Yeah I’m not a fan. That’s an interesting color choice for vanilla.

This doesn’t help, but almost ALL of the Kroger diet varieties have been reformulated to use a mixture of three sweetners… aspartame, acesulfame potassium, and sucralose.

Coke Zero is the same. But that means that they use whatever they have on hand. Post lockdown for many months it was at least mostly sucralose. Then sometime last summer they switched to aspartame (I can tell) Aspartame and corn syrup are cheap.
