My sweet dad just called me in a panic bc he has a meeting with his boss at 2pm and they implemented OneDrive while he was on vacation for basically the month of December and now he can’t find any of his files. Did I mention he’s 74 next month and could have retired 9 years ago?
Just heart all of them and no one will be the wiser.

It took me almost 2 minutes just to figure out what day 4 days from Tuesday would be.

Although technically Hamilton is a cast recording and NOT a soundtrack. Movies have soundtracks. Broadway (and West End) musicals have cast recordings.
Sorry - one of my pet peeves.
Sorry!
I did notice that but it was too funny not to share.
No, it’s fine. Most people call them “soundtracks”. I’m just enough of a theatre nerd it grates on my ears.
It is funny though!
Same could almost be said for the Moana soundtrack and “You’re Welcome” especially.
Soundtrack is a more generic term, and a “cast recording” simply one TYPE of soundtrack. They aren’t necessarily two mutually exclusive things.
So, it is fine to call a cast recording a soundtrack, but not all soundtracks are cast recordings.
And, to make matters even more complex, you have theatrical productions that were made into movies, as well as recordings of “show tunes” that don’t involve anyone who was ever in a cast!
For example, I have the Complete Symphonic Recording of Les Miserables. It is NOT a cast recording, since it involves piece-mealing together various artists who, at the time, were perceived to be the best of the best. It would be perfectly valid to call it a soundtrack, but not necessarily valid to call it a cast recording.
Various dictionaries specifically list out the sound recording of a play as a soundtrack.
