After several family trips to WDW, we are making our first trip to Disneyland. We reserved a 1-bedroom Villa at the Disneyland Hotel, but I am wondering about the pull down “twin-size” bed. Is it a real twin or is it a little smaller? Does anyone have measurements or first-hand experience? One of my teens will have to sleep on it and they are 5’6" and 5’11". I’ve done a lot of googling, but can’t find any real info. Thanks in advance for anything you are able to share!
I haven’t stayed in one but I thought it was a real twin size when we took a tour. I’m 5’5” and would be fine sleeping in it. But I don’t tend to move around too much when I sleep.
When is your trip? We will be staying in a two bedroom at the beginning of May and can report back but that might be too late for you.
Also, welcome to the forum!
Thanks! Our trip is in April. We have the option of moving to a 2-bedroom which would mean neither teen would need to use the pull down twin, but it is SO much more expensive for the 2-bedroom… Just trying to figure out if it is worth splurging on that and not something else.
Yeah, I can see that. Is it just four of you? I think you’d be fine in the 1 bedroom. And they are beautiful! The bathroom in the bedroom is amazing!
A 14 yo with us - 5’4" - slept fine on that pull down bed. With about 12 bazillion pillows
Do NOT put the 5’11" one on it. But my 5’6" teen daughter sleeps on it just fine.
It is shorter than a standard twin but not narrower.
I am looking to rent a DVC in Dec and would be fine putting my daughter in this again. She doesn’t complain about it at all and says it’s more comfortable than the pull out couch beds (same comfort as the pull down murphy style wall beds, aka all of these are firmer than the real bed but still better than the thin things inside a couch).
Thanks everyone! It is just the four of us, so I’m feeling more confident about staying with the 1 bedroom and doing a splurge on something else… maybe a day with LLPP?
