Mardi Gras float ride and dine

Okay, bear in mind that I’m an anxious traveler, so overthinking things is kind of my default.

Traveling to UOR with 15 yo son in March. We have been to UOR several times (I believe 4, but could be 5). We have never been during Mardi Gras.

I thought that riding on a parade float sounded like so much fun, so bought the float ride and dine to be sure we could do it. Received ticket confirmation by email, but there’s just info that isn’t provided.

We like Cowfish and picked that as our restaurant. UOR’s site says there will be one parade at 6pm for our date. Lines app says parade is at 7:30? And can’t add it to our plan, because it’s after park close?

A YouTuber said that you need to make Cowfish reservations because the ticket doesn’t guarantee you’ll get in to eat. Other sources have said that you have a fixed time that you can eat (3pm for 6pm parade), and it doesn’t sound like you could, say, reserve a lunch time meal?

Will UOR send me more info about this as the date gets closer (mid-March), or do I need to set a reminder to myself to make a reservation at Cowfish? I don’t really plan meals when I go too UOR, we really like the Harry Potter quick service options and other grazing during the day.

In previous years there was a link to the “fine print” in that e-mail. (Or it was listed at the bottom in smaller font)

Does your e-mail have anything like that? Can you post a screen shot?

You will have a reserved meal time. However, they are at “off” times - not traditional lunch/dinner times

Without knowing your exact date I had to go look up every March parade & meal time. (Please help us help you better when you can! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:)

Parade starts at 6:15 pm on the following dates:

  • February 28 – March 1
  • March 3 – 8

Parade starts at 7:30 pm on the following dates:

  • March 11 – 15
  • March 18 – April 7

Parade starts at 7:45 pm on the following dates:

  • March 2
  • March 9 – 10
  • March 16 – 17

On days with a 6:15 p.m. parade start time, dining reservations are for 4 p.m. only

On days with a 7:30 p.m. start time, dining reservations are for 5:15 p.m. only

On days with a 7:45 p.m. parade start time, dining reservations are at 5:45 p.m. only

So, plan the rest of your dining experiences around those unorthodox meal times.

Be sure to have your confirmation email on hand so your waiter can confirm your reservation once you get to your table.

Not in my experience. This is your confirmation & should have the details / link available.

Maybe they’ve changed something in 2025, but I need more info / screenshot to help.
