MagicBand+ Questions: Holiday Releases & Specialty Sounds

Two questions about MagicBands:

  1. My trip is Dec 8-15. I see the Christmas, MMC70th, & TS30th MBs dropped and my group has two of those already. I was curious if there’s any chance of additional holiday bands coming, or should I just buy my MB based on what’s currently available?
  2. Do only the Limited Edition MBs have special/unique sounds? Or do the Limited Release also have that? Or does every themed MB+ have its own sounds relevant to the design?

I have found that MB availability shifts from day to day, even hour to hour.

I would say keep close tabs on when your deadline to order is, and then stalk the site. When you see something, grab it.

The trouble is, IIRC, you have to order for the whole group at once - so it might be a bit tricky.

To your other question I don’t think we’ve yet seen any MBs that have a unique sound, only that DVC members get a “welcome home” on tapping in to a park. I don’t know the answer

These are some of the special sounds from a few years ago. Park noise makes it tough to hear some of them.

Yeah I can’t hear anything (not saying they aren’t happening I just can’t personally discern them) but I do see different light effects

I def hear the Small World one, lol. I can ALWAYS hear IASW :face_with_spiral_eyes:
