Magic Bands: How?

I am understanding that you can now use magic bands at DLR.

I don’t understand or see how to link them in my MyDLR account.

??

Oh this would be amazing for us. Following

MagicBand+ can be used at DL to scan into the parks, LLs & PhotoPass, but not to unlock your door if staying onsite, nor can you charge purchases to it.

To link it to your ticket, press the 3 lines in bottom right corner on Home Screen, scroll to Account & click on MagicBand+. Then click on the + sign in the top right corner & follow the instructions from there.

I’ve seen several references to that not quite being accurate anymore, and that you can now charge to your room

This doesn’t help me to sort things out

Maybe there’s a tiebreaker in the group

I asked a CM for our trip in December 2025, and the response was no, you can’t charge purchases to your room on your Magic Band+.

Regarding linking MB+ to your tickets, even if you list several Magic Bands in your DL account, only one at a time can be linked to your ticket. So, if you wanted to use a 2nd MB+ to enter the park, you have to change it in your account.

I am leaving for Costco, but when I get back, I will see if I can remember how to do it. I linked them to my account on my computer. Honestly, I think that the first time I did it, I called Disney and a CM walked me through it. The next time, I got my son to do it.

From the home page tap the hamburger menu

Scroll down and tap magicbands

Tap the plus to add. It will bring up the same sync function as MDE

Once they are added you assign them to a ticket.

I have not heard this and unless it’s a very new change, I don’t think it’s correct.
I do love having a magic band there, so much easier than pulling out my phone for entry and ride LLs.

Oh, I was thinking you meant old school magic bands instead of just magic bands+. That would make my life easier. Yes, you can add magicband+ under the menu on the home screen.

I remembered, not on my computer, had to llink MB+ on my phone. Once you have your tickets, then you link one MB+ to a ticket. Since I have a package through Disneyland, I will do that a couple of days before my chec in.
