Magic band plus

Mine are definitely roughly that age. They only work well for tapping for entry and Genie+. They won’t work for ride pictures and are spotty for payment.

I bought a regular MB at Pop in December when I locked my MB+ in my room and didn’t want to have to go all the way back. It worked fine for all taps and for getting back into my room that night. Obviously it doesn’t work well for the stuff that requires a charge — automatic photos on newer rides, etc. But you can still get photos at a tap point for many attractions.

We are fine with the regular MB’s and actually prefer them! It’s just that I can’t find any more online to purchase. My daughter got her last one (very classy white band with a gold castle on it :slightly_smiling_face:) in 2020 for her HS graduation year. I’m afraid the battery won’t hold up though.

I was just there two weeks ago, and they no longer sell regular magic bands anywhere on property.

If you look at MB’s on the WDW website, they still do have a few of the MB 2’s (old style) available. They are for each of the lands in MK. When I first saw them, I thought they were kids bands because they appear to be smaller, but my daughter told me they are just showing them from the side view . They are $24.99 for pre-arrival.

I’ll have to take a look! I would love a “new” old style MB for my next trip!
