We are traveling next week and I have a Disney Gift Card I need to use from the savings plan they discontinued. We are staying at the Movies Resort - will I be able to link the Gift Card to my room so that it is charged prior to my credit card on file being charged?
No, you can’t link a GC in the same way you can with a credit card. What you can do is go to the Front Desk every few days and use your GC to pay down your current balance.

Or you can use the gift card for meals/ souvenirs
On our last visit we had several GCs to use. At the end of the day one of us would pop by the front desk and apply the GC to the day’s charges. The whole process took about 10 minutes and we never had any issues.
