Disney Park Pass Reservation Calendar Extended Through January 2022

Wonder what this means for Park hopping. I think they could manage to do park hopping in combination, but it would be tricky.

I know that they are going to do everything possible to be back to 100% capacity by the 50th Anniversary on October 1, 2021. Maybe even have the Imagineers develop their own Covid 19 vaccine for WDW guests. 
If they decide in the future to pull the reservation system, I don’t see where it would cause the turmoil the way pulling FPP, park hopping or 180 day ADR’s did.

I agree on removing it would be easy. Considering how bad their IT is I don’t see them doing reservations and park-hopping. But, it makes sense to keep for crowd 10 days.
Yet you can still add park hoppers to your packages for 2021 so maybe they are just planning for everything. They could always drop reservations last min without much of an issue and reinstate park hopping.
Yeah the bad IT is always a factor. But would it be hard to allow partial park hopping (limit of 2 parks per day)? With hopper ticket or AP, you would be able to make a primary and secondary park reservation. Disney could allocate the hopper reservations separately, which would individually be weighted less toward the overall capacity vs the one-park-per-day reservations. Three or four parks would probably get too complicated, and this wouldn’t have the spontaneous feel that hopping is supposed to have, but better than nothing?
